  • ill beat

  • Everyone whining about how "complex" a beat needs to be before they consider it worthy of their praise is gay.

If it's hot, it's hot. If it's not, it's not. I've heard 4-track songs that sound fire, and 64-track joints that sound like dickass. Stfu about tracks, samples and enjoy or hate a song for what you hear, not how much "work" you feel needed to be put into the beat. Goddamn this kinda stuff is as old as Windows vs Mac.

  • this Puerto Rican niggah is nasty!

  • @sip1985 ....thats word....

  • @sip1985 IF Preem didn't make this beat no one hear would give a s--- about it that's a fact

  • @sip1985 My nigga Agallah murdered it right!!!!!!

  • @ingleside95 Yeah I don't get y some people hate this track. They don't know that lost flavor I guess. His energy on this shit is unreal.

  • its still a business fam.... I bet this dude paid Premo MAD loot for this track, dope muney, I would've made his ass a track too if he paid me crazy paper

  • Ur live is overrated dude under m€

  • premier is overrated to me.. almost all his beats are entirely sample based and the drum track is usually stiff like most of today's hip hop. probably why today's shit is so popular i guess, all you non musicians don't care if what you're banging has any swing or not. also, i'm disappointed in premier for making a beat for this gangster, i guess money is money but damn what a queer. probably why he made him this half assed 5 layer beat

  • @nakabar Shut up stook

  • @dublinciaran69 i had to consult the urban dictionary to discover what your backass hillbilly irish slang meant

  • @nakabar "all his beats are entirely sample based"

along with 99% of hip hop music. And the drums aren't stiff at all. If you don't feel this you don't know what hip hop is period.

  • @scoutinternational haha all right, well tell me, when did you start listening to hip hop? i'm going to guess early 2000s, and you probably never bothered to listen to much from before that with maybe the exception 0f 36 chambers. i mean, how could you not be able to tell the difference between this and a real smooth hip hop beat from the golden era? you need to go back, and relisten to the pete rock and cl smooth albums. they got swing. not some stiff bullshit. it's all sample based too...

  • @nakabar I used to work @ D&D and assisted w/ recording albums you take pride in listening to.I learned from Preem, Showbiz, saw Big L freestyle, talked w/Jay Z and debated producers. I lived an era of music you debate like a dork on youtube. I like Pete Rock but IMO the best producers ever are Preem and the RZA. The 'sample based' comment shows you don't get hip hop at all. Almost all the classics are sample based. Go back and study instead of telling me what I need to listen to, boy.

  • @scoutinternational ..only it's from a time before automatic quantization was the shit so they actually have some human feel. go back and listen to 'return of the boom bap' beats you can feel. listen to mobb deep's the infamous, from when beats mattered. i don' even know what you think you're trying to prove. half the comments here say this shit is whack yet it's dope to you. keep buying today's lame hip hop and leave that old real shit to the real musicians

  • @nakabar LIke I said in the last 3 comments, you're a jackass. I can listen to a hip hop track and tell you the machine they used, if it was the MPC, the SP1200, the ASR 10. I lived this era and I know all these producers. I could care less what you or a bunch of youtube commenters think. And I have my doubts that you're a 'real' musician (or you're a poor musician) b/c you fail to realize that almost all the golden age classics were based around samples. This isn't the Dave Matthews band.

  • @scoutinternational Let me quote myself: " it's all sample based too..." I know hip hop is based on samples, dumb shit. that seems to be the whole pretext of your long, self righteous rant. I take it youra DJ, do you actually produce anything or do you just take credit for playing other people's shit? I can see you like to go around youtube being the hip hop aficionado but if you had any kind of natural groove you'd know that a lot of premier beats are super stuff.

  • @nakabar: You know jack about hip hop music if now you're bitching about the layers. Go listen to top billin' and tell me how many layers are in that beat. Stop wasting my time and go back to playing with your poop and your Phish cassettes. Bu-Bye.

  • @scoutinternational *stiff. also these beats have only like 5-6 layers

  • @nakabar It's clear you don't have a hip hop background, but likely started to listen to hip hop in the mid to late 90's during the golden age. That's why you made that layers comment. You need to go back and listen to the origins of hip hop--listen to Sucka M.C.s by Run DMC. Drum Machine, vocal, that's it. La Di Da Di by Slick Rick...Beat Box, Vocal. Early hip hop was very simple, not layered at all. The Pete Rock sound came later. Good try, but you're not fooling anyone here.

  • @scoutinternational Good try, yourself. I'm talking about GOLDEN AGE, as I mentioned. You're talking about Old School. Check your eras. Hip hop didn't get good musically until the Golden Age. The Old School was low on layers, because most of that shit was as home made as it gets. You can be the king of all the old school hip hop you want, I like my music to have some music in it. Golden Age, dumb dumb

  • @scoutinternational Tell me how many layers are in Dr. Dre's 1990s tracks? I'm not talking about old school (1980-85) I'm talkng about Golden Era of Hip Hop. If that Old School type shit was truly musically satisfying, it would have styed that way. But those who had more musical ears weren't getting the funk they needed, so they started sampling Funky Drummer and other funky shit. Not you. You can sit around all day banging stiff inhuman unfunky beats, thinking you're the shit. You need learnin

  • @scoutinternational and the bottom line is this: all I did was state my opinion in an open discussion forum. I'm totally entitled to think whatever the fuck I want and say whatever the fuck I want. You could have shown some respect and maturity and just accepted that people are not all going to share your godly, self righteous opinion. So with that in mind, you are little more than a uppity, arrogant twat. You are no musician, so stop dealing in musicians' business.

  • @scoutinternational I'm sure if you actually had any real musical props you would have listed them in your little boner popping resume but as far as I can tell the extent of your musical experience is hitting an arm track button while a real musician puts something down, and maybe moving a couple sliders and rotary knobs. You da man! Now fuck off, I don't want to keep getting replies from you every 12 hours ya hear!

  • @nakabar Son if you're a musician then turn off the computer, and go make some tracks. I ain't never heard of you. If I want to talk about hip hop, I'll talk to the artists who know what they're talking about. Play all the music you want, you still know jack about hip hop. Good luck sir, sounds like you'll need it.

  • @scoutinternational Keep fishing boy-o. If you were the wealth of knowledge you claim to be, you'd know that hardly a track is made in today's world without computer involvement. Get a load of this guy, telling me I don't know shit, yet he doesn't even know the difference between the Old School and the Golden Era. I'm not surprised you haven't heard of me, I haven't put anything out and I don't claim to be anything. You on the other hand, claim to be the shit, yet, you're still no one.

  • @nakabar Also, the layer comments show you know nothing about rap and likely come from a jazz or rock background and found it later. Real producers know anything goes. Some beats are layered and rich, others sparse. Go back, listen to Criminal MInded--beats that stand up today--and tell me how many layers Scott La Rock used on his SP12. And if u think the 'old school' is any less musically rich, it means you werent there in park jams, Central Park, house parties that we lived in the culture.

  • @nakabar As far as the Preem comment, I talked with him about it. You have to understand it's a job. He makes 100k plus for a throwaway track like this. Sometimes cats come to him--esp. young rappers trying to make a name--and want a standard 'Premier beat' b/c they know it'll sell x amount of records. It's not his greatest track. But your comments about layers/golden age/etc show you're not from a hip hop background, it's new to you. I lived this shyte, you're not gonna teach me about it.

  • @scoutinternational If you're getting picky about my nomenclature, it's because you ain't got anything left. You better go shit all over 9th Wonder for calling his album "the GOLDEN YEARS remix LP" But I guess, according to you, if you aren't from New York you can't be involved in Hip Hop or even know anything about it. Sounds to me like your attitude has nothing to do with Hip Hop and everything to do with being another pretentious New Yorker.

  • @scoutinternational Tell me though, how is it you were in so many places at once? You try and discredit peoples knowledge because they "weren't there"... But you were in New York "living the culture" during the West Coast movement, and somehow you know everything about everything. You're right about that New Jack shit though, and it was called New Jack SWING for a reason. And as people realized that mainstream music would probably never be that soulful, jazzy and tasty again...

  • @scoutinternational people started calling it the GOLDEN ERA as it wasn't New anymore, and the Swing was fading out. You need to get down from your imagnary high horse, brother. And quit riding on the reputations of others. "I know some successful producers" yes, it sounds cool but it doesn't say much for you personally.

  • @nakabar Look man, trying to help u out here. Preem is the Babe Ruth of hh producers. When u say hes queer & overrated you lose credibility talking about hip hop. The musician/layers stuff is irrelevant and u show ur not from a hip hop background when u say that.. If there's a criticism of Preem, it's that he doesn't sustain full albums well & his lesser tracks are static&monotonous. The prob isnt the drums its the lack of dynamic. The RZA and Dre made better complete works, preem singles.

  • @scoutinternational Come on holmes I never said he was queer. In fact, I listed lots of his productions that I feel warrant his reputation. My only point this entire time was to mention that not every beat he makes is gold. I'll admit, my first comment didn't quite come out like that, but I made no insults to him anywhere. My beef is with people who indiscriminately say "this is the shit" to any track they hear that has his name attached. The same goes for a lot of producers.

  • @nakabar Last post/hot mix tape: Soul by the Pound (Beatnuts rmx), Check the Method (Finesse), Shorties Kaught ..(Finesse), Under Pressure (Show and AG), World is Yours (Tip Rmx), Crooklyn Dodgers (1&2), AZ Rather Unique, Sally Got One Track Mind (Diamond), Ultramags Raise it Up, You Must Learn (BDP), Murda MC's (Black Moon), 93 Til' (Souls), Got Story to Tell (BIG), Gods Earths and 85ers (PRT), Rugged Neva Smoove (MOP), Skillz in 95 (Mad Skillz), Back at U (M. Deep), Ressurection (Xtra P Rmx)

  • @scoutinternational And to be honest I'd criticize RZA before I started talking real shit about Premier. Yes, 36 Chambers was ill, but his recent works seem to me like money grabs more than anything else. Hell, the man can't even schedule time between playing 2 bit movie parts to make productions for LS2. I saw the "official wu tang page" on facebook advertising for randoms to sell them beats for it. Like KRS ONE said, "You cannot be rich and continue to make raw hip hop"

  • @nakabar RZA made 4 of the best hip hop albums of all time (36, Only Made 4 Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, Brooklyn Zoo) and the Ghostface Album is a near classic. Tell me another producer that made 4 classic albums that still stand up today. Not one in rap man. Give him his props. No one is making hot sh*t anymore its just where the game is at.

  • @bongzynskywycz Soooo......You dont consider "Ironman" and "Supreme Clientele" classic albums?

  • @78donjon Real close, but I wouldn't say classics. Excellent albums for sure, just not quite on the level of the first Wu, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4, the ODB album. Splitting hairs tho, I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me. They're excellent no question.

  • @78donjon uhhhh... yeaah

  • @scoutinternational Also, think about this: Premier is probably sick as fuck of all the little bitches like you who dangle off his nuts every time he puts anything down. It would probably be refreshing to hear someone talk straight to him, so keep that in mind when you "talk to artists who know what they're talking about"

  • @nakabar Stop embarrassing yourself. These terms u use; "golden age", "old school" show you're new to the game. When we grew up during the 'golden age', we lived hip hop. The shit you're calling "golden age" WAS the new jack shit. I remember spinning the first Mobb Deep album when it came out, that Boom Bap album, all the way back to the first De La Album which pioneered a lot of the sampling you're talking about. if u old school is less musically rich--it just proves you aint lived it.

  • @scoutinternational yo and you almost had me tricked with your supreme attitude but if you think 99% of hip hop is samples then it is you who knows nothing.

  • @scoutinternational for real, listen to return of the boom bap, some old premier production, and see if you can tell the difference. listen to Buckshot Lefonque self titled album, premier produced. see if your ig'nant ass ear can hear the difference between smooth production and rigid production

  • @nakabar I know Preem and work w/ him and grew up listening to his music. This isn't his greatest track but I'm sure he got paid to give dude a throwaway he made in his studio in 20 minutes. If you're trying to pick a youtube dork fight you're doing it w/ the wrong person. I can already tell from your comments about sampling that you know s**T about hip hop. Maybe some of the girls you use you fake ass slang with might be impressed b/c they don't know better. I do.

  • whats with the first guy soundin all uptight n shit sounds like hes got a itchy squirrle up his ass

  • dude must be rich... he convinced preemo to make a beat for his wack skills? no surprise its by far premier's sleeziest beat.

  • @bigjuby77

  • @cawswac No disrespect but, you and anyone who gave your comment a thumbs up, if you ain't done your homework on Agallah aka 8-Off the Assassin, then please do so cause I been remember his music since the so called "Golden Era" when he was signed to East West and stylewise he was ahead of his time.

Ps. Premo is a straight dude so, you know he ain't f'ckin' wit' wack rappers.

Just my humble opinion. Look for a joint called Kick down the f'ckin' door and the original version Alize for Dolo
