The bad thing about the this game seems to be that it doesn't tech proper technique, like alternate picking. A techniques section in the game would make it a great learning tool for beginners. sracth that if something like that is already included.

@chemoman1 There is a technique section, but because the game can't see you, only hear the notes you are playing, it can't enforce picking technique. FYI, this game is absolutely awesome. I am a rank beginner but I have kept up with it for about 2 weeks for 2-3 hours per day and I have improved so so so much in a short time. It is all in game, scales, chords, tracks... it is good stuff. However, I know it is not the be all and end all, I will need a teacher at some point.

i think this is a really good thing if you dont already know how to play the guitar. cuase i taught my self and do the same thing with out this game and its got me far.

You should try strumming up and down with ur pick on a string, not just down down down repeat.

Try to make an up and down motion with ur pick.

this game works i can see the improvement from past videos. soon as you can alternative pick, youll be able to tackle any song

On the rapid notes, how do you strum so easily AND fast? When I do it, either my pick doesn't follow clean and fast, or I strum other notes... >.<

yeah, help learn songs, it doesn't teach important things and give tips on your playing, if you actually want to learn guitar get lessons. Rocksmith is for fun and BASIC riffs to famous songs

@MadeoOnTheRadeo Yeah but there are those minigames to also help you learn the basic technics. And you can also learn most of the chords through a mini game... I mean, you surely won't become the God of guitar, but it sure will help xD

Hmm. I'm not sure how much I want this game... It seems awesome, and everything, but I feel like I'll get bored of it real quick... I played along with you almost the whole time. What difficulty are you at? What kind of difficulty system does it use anyway?

@spoonnerz There is no difficulty settings (such as Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert). The game automatically increases in difficulty as you get better. So if you keep hitting all the notes it throws at you, it'll add mores notes/chords till eventually you will be playing the full guitar part

@spoonnerz it get harder each time you get a higher percent so you can learn the note i would buy it help me a lot its only 80 dollars worth it though

@spoonnerz it starts to add a ton more notes and techniques as you get better. And once the game gives you all techniques and notes in a whole song and you get a high score you unlock mastermode which gives you the song with no notes on screen and you have to play it by memory. Only thing I suggest is learn to play the game with the on screen strings inverted so that looks like your reading tabs.

@hershyrock No it isn't the guitar that comes with the bundle. The one that comes in the Guitar Bundle is an Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar. This one is an Epiphone Les Paul Standard that I got for christmas last year lol

I don't know too much about guitars but from my understanding (don't quote me on this) I think that they are the exact same size it's just that the Junior one is supposed to be an "entry level Les Paul" which is cheaper.
