Well, 'rail' is short for 'Rail stand'. the rail of the board is abviously the side of the skateboard. Rail stand is basically a differant name for 'Primo'.

I was messing around with primo/railstand tricks and i figured out you can go into primo, body switch, then do a(well i guess it's a railflip but i'm not sure) flip thing that twists fronside shuv it but does two flips and then i land regular.

Haha, no. The side edges of the board are called the 'rails' of the board. Its been that way for decades before people thought of sliding on an actual rail. Comes from the surfing term, the edge of those is called the rail too.

Cool. I saw Rodney Mullen try it in switch and land back in rail and then Railflip out. Thanks very helpful! And I got a trick you might wanna try. Gazelle flip. Triple varial kickflip with a 180 body varial. Rodney invented it and he does it in Railstand. I guess doing the body varial helps you spin the board more.

A Gazelleflip is a nollie 540 shove it with a 360 body follow, and a flip.

You're probably thinking of a godzilla-railflip, thats pretty much what you described :)

It does. Gazelles and gazellespins are naturally done in nollie, just like full cabs are naturally done in fakie. Its because they were tricks from the older freestyle days, doing shove its and 360 shove its "off the nose" and slinging the tail round was more common than popping and doing them in regular stance. You can have fakie ones and I spose you can still call normal ones "regular gazellespins" too, but a usual old "gazelelspin" is nollie. :)

What helped me with rail to rail was someone said to try and catch it with your front foot. It also kept me closer to the deck, that way I could flip it normal.
