Also mind the system req. which are 16 MHz processor, 640K RAM, 5 MB free hard drive space !! I played it back in 1992 and the game with such a strong atmosphere comparable with Amnesia was just WOW!! The "nicer" looking fantasy action adventure came 2 years later under the name Ečstatica which used ellipsoids instead of vectors.

Legendary game. I played this when it was new, as a 13- or 14-year old, and I've never been so terrified before or since. I'm sick of people calling Resident Evil original, when almost everything about it was adopted from this game. RE is also a great game, for sure, with arguably a much better story, but this is THE original 3-D horror game.

One of the things I loved about old games was that they didn't spoon-feed the plot to you. This nasty piece of work made you read SO much. So much clues hidden within every letter, book and scraps of paper. It took so much effort in the reading that it made the game that much intriging. Too bad modern games don't have this quality to them anymore.

I agree with plenty of the comments below. The music, the graphics(which at the time were rather good), the narative etc all have this game a very scary atmosphere.

This was out in 91, but i didnt play it untill 95 when i got it for my panasonic 3DO(remember them lol). I bought the game again from ebay a couple of years back but i could not get it to work. This video bought back some good memorys.

A the other games in the alone in the dark series couldnt even come close....
