there was a same sex lesbian marriage at a hindu temple in agra, india recently. different hindu groups look at homosexuality differently. but if u look at khajuraho sculptures, kamasutra, ajanta ellora paintings etc, homosexuality was pretty normalized in hinduism before india went down to invaders.
My understanding as a Sri Vaisnava is that the conception of hetero/homo sexuality is as long as you are in the material conception of life. Someone spiritual is neither hetero nor homo sexual. So as long as one is still a beginner it is not a problem to have either sexual orientation. With time any sexual conception goes away.
Great song, very catchy, especially this particular version, with the live chorus and instruments. I frequently visit Prabhupada's palace of gold just to get away from city life in West Virginia, where I noticed they play this version or a similar one through the loudspeakers at the temple and giftshop quite frequently. very good to set the atmosphere for the whole place, and to assist in tuning out the materialistic world
and about karmayogi, i think what he is trying to say is worshipping human bodies as divine himself is ignorance, so hes saying no sing to lord ram and krishan cause they were at one point human too.
To karmayogi, werent the vedas composed by the great rishis, who were also human. So if it doesnt come from your experience, its just borrowed knowledge isnt it?
And so how do you know if worshipping humans as avatars of gods is ignorance or eternal bliss.

Fantastic kirtan of HH Radhanath Swami. I agree with you - the comment above makes no sense to me at all and seems quite irrelevant - but descending mercy is very rare magic, most will not get it.
I still remember kirtanas with Radhanatha Swami and Bhakti Thirta Swami maharaja at the Palace of Gold in the 1990's. They were incredible!!!. Bhakti Thirta Maharaja was a gereat dancer with a beautiful smile.We used to dance for 4 hrs no-stop.

We can pray to Hanumanji because by prayer to pure devotees we can ask them for their mercy by which we can engage in Ram or Krsna's service. We should understand that Ram and Krsna are nondifferent.

jrjr18181, Thank you for your question. Sri Krsna is the original Personality of Godhead and His first expansion is Lord Balaram, from Him further expansions are to be considered. These are from the Visnu tattva. Krsna is one without a second but Visnu and Krsna are non different. So in the worship of Krsna, Visnu is included. This is explianed very nicley by Srila Prabhupada in the first canto of Srimad Bhagavatam. I hope this answers ur question. Hare Krishna.

is it no crazy that all religion accept people who convert them self to their religion, but the hindu religion only accepts you if you were born into it, i see there are so many different races in the hari ramas(is it even considered a religion) there are so many races in the christian religion, but rarely do you see causian or a black or chinese etc in the hindu cultural religion.
That has more to do with politics and bloodshed. In Islam and Christianity, HISTORICALLY (nothing against anyone) conversion and invasion have gone hand in hand. Change of heart is not the only reason why people convert, you know. Hindus, Buddhists and some other religions have never conquered other people, or thought of their way of life as inferior to our own. We don't even kill animals.
but why....why the need to convert, i'm not saying you in genereal, but christians, muslims etc, i found that quite a bit of prisioners convert into muslims, and feel like they are saved once they're converted, you have the mormons that try and convert as well as the christians, and about killing animala, as a true and practicing hindu, you're not allowed to eat meat, let alone killing an animal.

We can pray to Hanumanji because by prayer to pure devotees we can ask them for their mercy by which we can engage in Ram or Krsna's service. We should understand that Ram and Krsna are nondifferent.

you should know that a CULT is defined in two ways: people who follow a cirtian religious belief or commonly known as a group who follows a person who says they are God. ISKCON'S leaders in no way have ever said they were God. You Ritvick type should also remember Srila Prabhupada instructed his deciples not to leave his ISKCON! come on man get it together!

Krishna is the Supreme Lord. This isnt a cult. The path of pure devotional service to Krishna has been around since time immemorial. The devotees who follow this are called Vaisnavas.

jrjr18181, Thank you for your question. Sri Krsna is the original Personality of Godhead and His first expansion is Lord Balaram, from Him further expansions are to be considered. These are from the Visnu tattva. Krsna is one without a second but Visnu and Krsna are non different. So in the worship of Krsna, Visnu is included. This is explianed very nicley by Srila Prabhupada in the first canto of Srimad Bhagavatam. I hope this answers ur question. Hare Krishna.

To pastorgeoff: Christians should be more tolerant than that! Doesn't Christianity say: "love your next as your self"? I would even convert that into: "love yourself as your next"! This is certainly not affiliated with satanism! It is just their way of believing in something bigger than them. is it no crazy that all religion accept people who convert them self to their religion, but the hindu religion only accepts you if you were born into it, i see there are so many different races in the hari ramas(is it even considered a religion) there are so many races in the christian religion, but rarely do you see causian or a black or chinese etc in the hindu cultural religion.

That has more to do with politics and bloodshed. In Islam and Christianity, HISTORICALLY (nothing against anyone) conversion and invasion have gone hand in hand. Change of heart is not the only reason why people convert, you know. Hindus, Buddhists and some other religions have never conquered other people, or thought of their way of life as inferior to our own. We don't even kill animals.

but why....why the need to convert, i'm not saying you in genereal, but christians, muslims etc, i found that quite a bit of prisioners convert into muslims, and feel like they are saved once they're converted, you have the mormons that try and convert as well as the christians, and about killing animala, as a true and practicing hindu, you're not allowed to eat meat, let alone killing an animal.

Hare Krishna is Vaishnava Hinduism and has roots that go back over 5000 years. It is not only NOT a cult, but it is the world's oldest living religion. Hinduism is the first and root of all other religions that came later.
