  • does someone have the piano sheet?

  • Check out Rachel Flowers rendition of this track.....oh btw Rachel is blind.... you'll be blown away....

  • Hello! Can you tell me who is the original song? I heard Bobby McFerrin's version ...

    Thank you! : D

  • @Yanzazzzz

Chick Corea wrote it. At least, that's what it says in the Real Book.

  • @TheScarletSonata He did write it. This rendition is off of "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs" which is the first recorded example.

  • *****

  • This might be the best three minutes of music ever recorded.

  • wow, no dislikes up to now, it proves that Chick is a GENIUS

  • @s3rg10sp4evr at the time of me reading someone must have heard you

  • @Beauxdueax, yeah and at almost 86 yrs old, Roy still "HAS" that touch!! He and Chick just (last week) recorded some duo tracks on Roys new cd!

  • I love this song!

  • i apparently heard this the other day on the radio but it doesn't match up is there another version of this with the supertrio?

  • who's on bass?

  • @djkinderarbeid Miroslav Vitous, holmes.

  • @ignarukih tnx!

  • One of my fave Chick tunes, which means likely one my fave tunes period--but!--the definitive version for me will always be the one from "Inner Space", with the great Hubert Laws on flute--tempo is slower, and the general feel is profoundly lyrical, even tender. All fans should check it out, ASAP.

  • This may be my favorite composition ever

  • Geez... one of the best hi-hat licks ever in the beginning there... Roy had a special touch!

  • @Beauxdeauxfinglok woops... what did I mean by "had"? He's still raging the hats as far as I know... heh.

  • listen to eldar's version. its deep.

  • Good!

  • is chick with miroslav and roy haynes?

  • Yes. There is a version of this with Chick, Gary Burton, Dave Holland, Roy Haynes and Pat Metheny that is really nice. Chick, Gary and Pat all do a nice job.

  • @Offbeat1000 Yea!! I have that album "Liked Minds". The chemistry on that album is absolutely amazing. especially when burton, pat, and chick are playing all at the same time, yet they dont get in each other's way.

  • The ending of this song is awesome! Thank you so much Mr. Corea!

  • I love the ending too. It's the best part

  • one of the greatest jazz tunes :) rhscheryl- nyc

  • iz gud

  • Temón!

  • MEGATEMON

    hermoso tocarlo en el contra..

  • WOW thank you so much for posting ,5 extra stars !!!! *****

  • i'm going to play this song with my combo soon. im pretty excited.

  • This is one of my favorite songs. Great example of song based on the Lydian mode too.

  • Yoshi's in San Francisco or Yoshi's in Oakland? Well, they are both great places! This song is great too.

  • Pretty sure it was Oakland. I was in the Oregon Marching band visiting for the Holiday Bowl, and my buddy Brian asked if I wanted to go to one of his favorite Jazz clubs. I'm glad I did, she was really great.

  • Five stars for you. Reminds me of when I saw this female pianist play this song at a place called "Yoshi's" and she dedicated the song to Bill Gates.

  • Thank you for this pure moment of magic!
