  • Does anybody know where I can find a complete and up to date listing of the CFD's entire apparatus roster, if such a thing exists?

  • Not much action in the rear of the building

  • Does chicago still use those boots?

  • Ah, is that snow (3:44)? Dont miss it one bit!

  • Green/ red is a traditional Chicago Fire color. Been that way as long as I can remember it. Our department has black firegear, lightweight and comfortable except for those hot summer days. Great for winter though.

  • Why does Chicago have green emergency lights on their apparatus?

  • I read somewhere that one of the first Fire Chief was really into boating and gave the rigs the red/green lighting scheme and it has stuck ever since. Many suburban Chicago departments also use the green.

  • good job, you and the firemen! Thank you for showing where that strange noise between a truck and an aircraft was coming from, I could never guess it was the subway

  • Love watching firefighters squirt water at smoke!

  • i take it u rnt a firefighter?

  • BTW, their new bunker gear looks cool. But come summer, they'll wish they never had those.

  • lol yeah
