Finally found this vid per your suggestion--and I'm gonna be watching this one closely... I've learned a lot from watching and playing along with the other vids I first saw, and I'm lookin' forward to cookin' along with you on this one!
i've been playeng for over 6 months now and this video has been very helpful, especially on understanding the variations in the martillo, in consecuense imroving my knowledge of what type of martillo goes with differnet music styles... XD
I am a pro percussionist in many styles, your videos are the best on youtube. The complainers just want to see flashy garbage, you are showing true rhythm basics and technique, beginners, pay attention. And you do not have to use one finger like he does, it's about preferance, just so you know.
y si, algunos patrones son medios raros y escapan de lo que es el martillo tradicional, además sigue tocando hasta en los pregones donde el bongocero debe dejar el bongo y tomar la campana (cencerro)...
I've been playing for over 35 years and at first I said what was you doing with the other video? then as I saw this video and seen your triples. you do know what your doing. thanks for sharing look at joe cano website albert cano bongosero
Thanks for taking the time to share your skills. I've been slowly learning bongos for a few months and have recently found your videos invaluable. Been practising your rhythms all weekend, working up a sweat. Can't wait for more!
Thanks for your excellent bongo lesson. It was really helpful but i am having a difficult time mastering the "shaker" sound you make. I'll keep practicing.
This is first-class instruction. I've been through it , what, six times now and I'm still learning stuff. It isn't a perfect substitute for an actual, live teacher, but it comes about as close as a video can get.
I just wish the Youtube sound synch were a bit better. I have found that by clicking the 'pause' button and letting the whole video download, the synch is improved.
Thanks Greg for the nice comments and thanks for the tip about letting the whole video download by clicking the pause button to improve the synchronization between the video and the sound!
If you have any questions that arise, feel free to email me at mdubuque@yahoo.com...
I look forward to you posting a bongo video some day soon as well, amigo...
