  • I'm going to buy this, become a lady, go to England and date Prince Harry.

  • I just want this so I can have the title of "Lady."

  • I think people don't it. You're helping preserve historical landscape and getting a legal title doing so. Other companies just give you a receipt or a card. Here you become a Laird or a Lady.

@PlagueIndustry I also want this so I can sign documents as Laird and my name ^_^

  • mhhhh.....no

    hahaha

  • I kind of want to buy this for myself just so I can sign legal documents as "Laird" and then my name.

  • Great video VAT19. Very happy to see Dunans so well represented, thank you! For everyone's information the restoration works are progressing very well thanks to the Laird and Ladies who buy these packages, and we're always delighted to see everyone who makes it over and comes on the tour. We show you your square foot, the castle, the bridge, everything!

  • Say if I buy this and fill it out, can I legally use the title Lord when signing forms or do I have to use Laird? Lord sounds better

  • That would be awesome being a laird or lord I would make people spit shine my shoes!

  • do you have to pay taxes on this land?

  • @suppabooss No, not at all!

  • @vat19

Hi! Well I love your videos and once I get a credit card I shall spend it on your site at once! if you bought a piece of land can you not go visit it or is that part of the trip for two? Can you at least put a sign on there to claim it? Will it tell you where your piece of land is located?

  • @EmoTeddyIsHere You can visit your specific plot of land, however you cannot alter it in any way.

  • @vat19com Yeah some one might dye their square foot of grass black, or put a huge set of car batteries under the grass then hook them up to a spot light. It'd be kind of like those guys on Minecraft servers who build dick and ball shaped structures on their land plot in the middle of a normal looking area filled with normal houses.

  • Can I buy the Castle???

  • remove the "r" and u get "laid" .

  • This is a scam. To quote Rob Gibson Member of the Scottish Parliament in the Daily Reecord – “This exploitation of Scotland should be outlawed.”Selling square-feet souvenir plots of Scotland purely for financial gain is utterly unacceptable. I find this activity attracts spivs and speculators and people should avoid it with a bargepole.” “There should be some means to stop this. This is not the first time somebody has tried to make a fast buck out of selling a little piece of Scotland.”

  • @eggberta Rob Gibson was referring to corporate buyouts of land who would then drastically alter the landscape. The castle in question is privately owned and is still owned by the estate. People who purchase the plots of land cannot alter their piece in any way, and all funds earned go towards the upkeep of the castle and grounds. It's historical preservation, not corporate land-grabbing.

  • @eggberta BURNED!!

  • Farmville in real life

  • Seems a little bit fucking pointless.

  • So, we own the land, but... we can't do anything with it, right?

  • @sasukerukia That is right.

  • @vat19com what if you buy a 1000 of this?

  • @vat19com that sucks, it mean you don't even own the land

  • I got this for my mom and it went straight to her head I had to call her "lady" instead of mom for a week

  • Is it possible to put something like a sign or a little fence or even an engraved stone on the ground there?

and by engraved stone i mean that it is put into the ground.

  • @H4xorBoy Nice suggestion! We'll put it into our development programme!

  • @SeeDixonSpain ok thanks :)

  • @SeeDixonSpain because i mean, signs and fences everywhere on the land might be not such a good idea, but imagine how nice it would look with small engraved stones everywhere!

  • one square foot. hahaha!

  • Those using ‘Lord’ in front of their name are stating they are a ‘Peer of The Realm’ (or a courtsy title of a Scottish ‘Law Lord’). No ‘Laird’ would change his title to ‘Lord” and you simply cannot purchase a Peerage Title.

  • How do we know that its not just a peace of paper saying that i am a lord?

  • @SuperMegaComedyGuy The information concerning the castle as well as its owner is widely available on the internet.

  • I wanna buy it but what if i fill the forms but dont get any answer what do i do? And second question do you have to be over 18 to be a lord?

  • @SuperMegaComedyGuy There is no age limit. To date we have not heard of anyone sending off their forms and not getting a response.

  • can I live on that land?

  • @langhalsen Sorry, but you are not able to live on, develop or alter the land in any way.

  • That is so random I'm gonna buy it.

  • 1 square foot?? thats it??

  • So anyone who owns land in Scotland (A house or whatever) is a Lady/Laird?

  • Build a square fence around your land.

  • Wait...so what's the tour for two thing. It obviously doesn't come with a free trip to Scotland right? So what does the tour for two thing actually consist of/mean.

  • @chyeahmishelle If you were in Scotland, you would get a free tour for two of the castle. Obviously, you'd have to call them to find out when it could be arranged.

  • It doesn't really have the same effect if your not Scottish.

  • Do think Lady GaGa bought one of these? Lol.

  • is there an age limit? like, do you have to be 18 to have it legalised

  • @LadieLola No minimum age requirement.

  • @vat19com I don't get it.... It sounds awesome... but what is it. Are you like buying an actual piece of land in Scotland or what..... please reply... I want to buy it, but not quite sure what it is.

  • @bituco94 You purchasing 1 square foot of land in Scotland. This gives you a landowner title of Laird. The piece of land is on an old castle that is being restored after a bad fire. Your purchase helps fund this restoration. The land is on 16 acres which are located in the beautiful Scottish highlands and are host to the A-listed Dunans Bridge, the Dunans Castle, and Britain's tallest tree (a 209-foot-tall Douglas Fir).

  • can i buy 100 of these and build a small shack and live in it?

  • @FutureLaugh the rule sucks, but you can't alter the ground in anyway

  • what happens when you run out of land?

  • i live in canada, can i legally put lord or laird on my drivers license or passport or other IDs??

  • @spencerbeveridge You'd have to check with those agencies to see if they allow it.

  • @vat19com If you purchase your land and gain the title Lady or Laird, could it be possible to visit you section of land? That sounds a little silly...

  • HOW CAN YOU BUILD A HOUSE WITH ONE SQUARE FOOT OF LAND!!!!

  • (Using 2004 numbers)

    Average House cost: $264,000.00

Average House size: 2,330 square feet

Cost of 2,330 square feet worth of these plots: $81,433.50

  • Oh cool, I'm going to go build a one square foot house on my plot of land!

  • How big is a square foot?

  • @SuperFerretGuy It's 1 foot by 1 foot... Hahah

  • @melinattttttttt oh, THATS SMALLER THAN MY FRICKIN PILOWS!

  • If i buy 1,000 of them, can i built a house there?

  • Since it's too small for me to build a house, can a make a Port o Potty.

  • Typo in desc. "Become a Laird of Lady" -> lord of lady lol

  • @TedIzNinja Thanks! Now fixed.

  • If I buy enough of these, will I eventually own Scotland?

  • @butterfliwashere Us Scots would Fight

  • @butterfliwashere so for $34.95 we get a 1 square foot (12inches/30.5cm) of land which is... 0.00000009290304 km2 of Scotland. Scotland is 78,772 km2. so we would have to buy... 847894751345 of this thing to own the whole Scotland.. $296,339,215,595.07 around 300billion to buy the whole Scotland... well.. yeah you will get enough of these to own Scotland :) if you have the money that is...
  • @SpiningChocolate Yea but the land you will purchase will only be at the Dunans Estate. So you would just own the castle which is still pretty good and it is A LOT cheaper.

  • @HaiImJack one square foot

  • I DONT GET THIS

  • Do i get the Laird title too when i buy this for my Mom?

  • im scottish but i have a question do you really legally own a peice of land to do wha you want with please answer cuz i might get one

  • @Scottishscot1Numbah1 You legally own the land, but you cannot alter it.

  • @vat19com No the land register in Scotland doesn't recognise ownership of such small parcels of land and no more than one person can bear the same designation (Laird is not a title).

  • @Scottishscot1Numbah1 Don't do it, it's a con. No such thing as upteen people holding a title. A Lord can only be recognised by the Lord Lyon's court in Scotland. These people are at it!!!!!

  • @Scottishscot1Numbah1 NO! the land register doesn't recognise ownership of such small parcels of land. the company selling fake titles still own it.

  • Hmm is it possible to change it from Laird to Lord? I doubt many people know what laird means, and "laird ___" just doesn't sound as good as "lord ____".

  • THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

  • what are the zoning laws? can i build on my land or sell my land for more after finding mineral rights?

  • I am so getting this...

  • So..

If my friends love me enough..

I'll own a yard some day?

  • can I legally change my title to Laird David? Or no?

  • @notscooter952 As a landowner, you can use the title Laird. Whether or not you can use the title on official documents is up to the entity issuing the document (such as the passport office).

  • if you would by more than one, would the land be right next each other?

  • @ColoredToys No, not necessarily. It's random.

  • This.. This is just amazing..

  • and i will post no trespassing signs around my square foot and guard it with my life.

  • @TTTtcubed Scotland has no trespassing laws so you can't really.

  • how would you know where your land is?

  • @victoriaanoza Exact coordinates will be provided after you register.

  • he didnt call her anything?

  • @ProblmSolvd lol

  • 1 square foot??? thats so lame

  • didn't you guys already make a video of this?

  • does the narrator ever appear in any videos?

  • @RoadRunnerMusic The narrator is in almost every video including this one.

  • @RoadRunnerMusic hes the guy doin the dishes, am i right?

  • @fallendude01 i always thought it was the dude @ 0:29

  • @fallendude01 Yep.

  • 1:04 ummm he didn't call you anything...

  • @sboss Exactly...he forgot the title.

  • Is it sure that you will have a Castle or is that a different edition?

  • @Tayclamation The castle is the only edition available.

  • @vat19com If someone steps on your square foot can you sue for trespassing? And can I plant a tree there?

  • oh MUH God

  • you guys! i'm beggin ya, pls do a vid on the wine cork candle! its so cool :)

  • Where's the Lord gift box? That title sounds much better.

  • Wtf? Is This real? Own LAND In Scotland?

  • @HakerzTM Yes, it's real.

  • Does that mean I can go to my square foot of land, and build what ever I want on it?

  • @MogDog66 No, you cannot build anything on your one square foot. The point is to preserve the natural landscape and to restore the castle on which your one square foot resides.

  • @vat19com So your telling me that I, the legal owner of this one plot of land have no rights to do anything with it what so ever. Now I see no point

  • @MogDog66 You have the rights to visit the land and tour the castle and grounds. You also get the right to use the title of Laird or Lady. You're also helping to preserve this land and help restore the castle. But, yeah, I guess you're right, it's sooooo useless :).

  • @MogDog66 you realize that more than half of the other vat19 items are useless too. and have no point. its just cool. and that is all you need to buy something.

  • wats the catch?

  • @chrstphrplvr the catch is that it costs $35.

  • isnt everyone in scotland a laird or lady just by owning a house there ?

  • @tehx3n Ja

  • Why was this reuploaded?

  • @blackwind3000 It's a new square foot of land...in a castle!

  • @vat19com ooooooooooooo cool

  • @vat19com holy dog shit. IN A FUCKING CASTLE :D if it was about ireland i would buy it

  • can I put it on my resume ,and drivers license ?

  • @omiss2006 Good idea! I've gotta hear whether or not you could do this.

  • Déjà vu!

  • id rather be a lord

  • @tehx3n u could buy a differrent one not in scotland....

somewhere in england and then you will be called a "lord"

    :)

    my friend did this....

  • fuck yah!!! this is awesome, you can totally build a fort on 1sq ft of land!

  • @TypicalGam3r or u can place a cardboard box and sleep in it XD

  • What happens if i buy 10000 of these gift boxes?

  • @MniToster Then you would be broke, and own a huge plot of land. :D

  • @MniToster haha you would have 10000 square feet worth of land but it would be scattered everywhere

  • @MniToster then u will have 10000 acres of land but then they wont be combined so there will be just scattered peices of land.. plus u can get a better deal for 10000 acres of land

  • WHAT THE F ?

  • OoO I just saw the "New Edition" My bad

  • was this reuploaded? I think I saw it before?

  • @GameTrailerGuru yeah but it has a few changes. At the end and about that castle.

  • that's really legal?

  • 1 Sq Ft xD LOL
