  • les is a musical genius who can play anything with bass strings as well as he can walk

  • check out secret chief 3

  • groovy

  • you really cant get much better than this

  • Bernie played for the Talking Heads aswell. Awesome!!!

  • Gabby was the one rippin!holy shit!

  • Very cool band indeed! If anyone out there digs this type of free improv, you must check out Miles Davis in his electric acid jazz faze. List of recordings: we want miles, star people, live evil, bitches brew, ect... that will really freak your ears. All have All star line ups aswell. Check out the band Naked City & Mad House aswell.

  • Man if Les Claypool were to put out a collab CD with the same concept as SMV, except it would be Les, Bootsy, and Flea, the universe would probably implode on itself twentysexfold.

  • thank you james bartoli brilliant sounds here and the archives

  • gabby la la was in front of brain 4 all of the video! :-(

  • @goodOLDbabyKISSES It still sounds the same, and I'd rather see some hot chick.

  • I swear it sounds like hot midnight rainforest/amazon sex.....

  • the best part about songs like this is the fact that they can just jam it on stage so you may never hear the same version twice. like buckethead can just go apeshit on his guitar and the bass drums and keyboards can just go with it

  • @Satanus66 well why do you think Greatful Dead had so many followers?

  • good ol' bernie, sittin the back calmly puffin a cigarette while playing the most amazing harmonies

  • Sweet version of Elephant Ghost!

  • Les looks unhappy playing like a conventional bassist. That's why we love him, I guess...

  • I love les he is my favorite bassist but i must say that all his bands are about him. I agree he looks unhappy but its probably because its not about him.

  • is that sitar player by any chance Gabby La La?

  • Les Claypool - Most Unique Bass Player in history...

Buckethead - Greatest Guitarist of his Time

Brain Mantia - Underrated Drummer that can play ANY genre of music

Bernie Worrell - Keyboardist for the fucking PFUNK (i.e. GEROGE CLINTON's pianist)

Gabby La La - Queen of Abstract instruments

PUT THEM TOGETHER YOU HAVE JEFFERSON AIRPLANE + GREATFUL DEAD + FUNK AND METAL = C2B3 and an EARGASM

  • You are a VERY VERY wise man. . .

  • @Krookedkon Just want to mention how bad-ass of a bass player Buckethead is as well.

  • amazing!

  • to see that stage with all those amazing exotic musicians on there is divine

  • Who is that person with the sitar lol.

  • Gabby La La. Saw her with fancy band in seattle, and it was great. She has an album "careful what you wish for" which is brilliant and claypool is all over it as well as backup. go buy it now.

  • Wow. I didnt know this existed on you tube. Elephant ghost is my fave song on C2B3's album and I never get to hear les play it.....but even if he did it wouldn't be anything without brain, bucket, and bernie.
