Which Hauptwerk organ is this? Do you set general pistons or are you controlling individual staves somehow to change. If so what commands and where do you find them in the manual?
It's the Haupwerk 1 version of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Skinner. I control all of the registration manually. I've never been able to get them to change automatically.
Which organ are you using on the Hauptwerk program - is that the Skinner? What procedures do you take to get the Smartscore to interface with the Hauptwerk? Excellent transcription anywhos! Good Luck!
Very nice! I'm working on putting together a Hauptwerk-based setup using an old Hammond A-200 console. The tone generator is trashed in it, so I figured it would be a prime candidate for a virtual pipe organ refit. I grabbed the demo version of Hauptwerk 3 the other day and then an organ setup for the ancient tracker organ at San Carlos cathedral in Italy. I was amazed at the sound quality, even though I had to disable some of the tracker effects to make it load (continued)
Very interesting. I use to do the same thing as you but with Kloria virtual organ. Your sound is great, mine is not so good, but i only use free sample sets.
About notation software, I use Hamnony-Assistant (from myriad-online). This allows me to have midi control for the expression pedals. I can also use 3 systems like you for 3 manuals, but I can also have only 1 system. The manuals then are selected by rules (ie : the notes's colour, or the velocity).
I transcribed the Lemare pieces by hand. I do have a program that will read scanned pages of music, but it doesn't work very well with the editions of Lemare that I have. The notes aren't clear enough for it to get an accurate reading.
I certainly enjoyed this video. However, I do wish you had provided more information on the hauptwork you used. This is a very new idea to me and I am looking for information on the whole concept. Also, I would have expected that you had other compositions that you had transcribed.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you want to learn more about Hauptwerk, please visit Crumhorn Labs website. I may do another video specifically about my Hauptwerk setup if there is enough interest.

Smartscore doesn't interface directly with Hauptwerk. I use it to speed up the process of getting the music into the notation program.

I use a program called SmartScore to scan printed music into MIDI format.

Did you have to do the notation transcription by hand, or what did you you use to do it?
