To WIn to play a music, you never say I can't It's possible, you are an human and if you have the Passion and great volition you can. Nothing it's impossible
You play really good, it's amazing. I'm trying to play the same piece right now, but I've got really small hands, so it is a hard sheet for me. When I see you playing, it seems to be so easy ! Really really amazing touch, because your way of playing sounds just like Keith's, even in the intensity of some notes in relation to some others. Is it the original transcription of the Koln that you play ? Anyway, bravo, keep it up, and long live the God Keith :D
yeah dude, that was sweet, I was bobbin' and smiling...really flowed, and not an easy piece..wonder if there's a lot of unmatched rhythms in his runs...seems like it. ya know, even he didn't play it THAT well, I mean, it's good, and unique, but far from flawless... there's a lot of head scratching at transition points that comes through. It's a very very difficult craft to master, no doubt. BRAVO BRAVO :) !!
you're comparing apples and oranges old son. i got my music from the record, and out of a book where a couple of japs transcribed the record. where did KEITH get it from???
Yes man, Bremen is really good. Jarrett music is such an inspiration, one evening in Paris I was playing "my song" in a pub... nice moment. Do you have some transcriptions from Bremen? Encore is really hard for me...
I will make a video for you of what i think the left-hand pattern is in the encore, next time i am near a piano (next week) ... the trick is to hit the G and A below middle-C simultaneously with your thumb.
Keith is a genious, is very hard playing the music of a genious, and not only the Koln concert, have you ever heard Bremen Part II? Check out my videos...
Ripping video mate...and an Aussie to boot!!! Thank goodness, thought I was the only person in the country that knew about Jarrett. Maybe it's the circles I move in...
Very nicely performed. Strong passion and strong technique. Very true version (except from the last 1/10) - but who's to blame you? I have my self interpreted (and transcribed) a Jarrett improvisation (a bit of it). Try and listen to it.
IF YOU LIKE IT, RATE IT. or if you don't like it, rate it but tell me what's wrong with it. some anonymous clown or collection thereof insists on rating all my videos badly and is too cowardly to leave any comments. and you all know i really deserve 5 stars. go on, admit it. i'm the best. SNARF
oh dear, someone gave me a one-star rating. too bad they didn't see fit to leave me some constructive criticism in a comment so i could know how I made such a bad impression and improve my playing...and maybe watch their videos and return the favour. hahaha
great to see someone else tackling this very special piece of music that we are ever-so-lucky to have in a closely transcribed sheet music form. i reckon in a month or two i will be able to bang out the entirety of part 1
left hand should be way louder!
