  • left hand should be way louder!

  • sorry i would to say You never tell I can't ! It's Impossible !

  • @PsychotikPandora what are you trying to say? someone shouldn't say "can't" ?

I really just don't know what you're aiming at.

  • To WIn to play a music, you never say I can't It's possible, you are an human and if you have the Passion and great volition you can. Nothing it's impossible

  • You play really good, it's amazing. I'm trying to play the same piece right now, but I've got really small hands, so it is a hard sheet for me. When I see you playing, it seems to be so easy ! Really really amazing touch, because your way of playing sounds just like Keith's, even in the intensity of some notes in relation to some others. Is it the original transcription of the Koln that you play ? Anyway, bravo, keep it up, and long live the God Keith :D

    A french pianist

  • Well done mate.

  • Great performance, bought the book myself, learned the first 4 pages or so, at which page does this start? Thnx in regards

  • compliments from Italy....very nice performance

  • congrats good performance!

  • dude - i have been listening to kj's koln concert for 30 years and that is damn good and damn close to the maestro's original performance. bravo!

  • yeah dude, that was sweet, I was bobbin' and smiling...really flowed, and not an easy piece..wonder if there's a lot of unmatched rhythms in his runs...seems like it. ya know, even he didn't play it THAT well, I mean, it's good, and unique, but far from flawless... there's a lot of head scratching at transition points that comes through. It's a very very difficult craft to master, no doubt. BRAVO BRAVO :) !!

  • really, really well played...

  • Jarett is a God, and you're his offspring ! Kep playing so well,

    A French pianist

  • kudos to you playing this piece so well. but this makes keith just a fucking god playing it perfect basically out of nowhere.

  • you're comparing apples and oranges old son. i got my music from the record, and out of a book where a couple of japs transcribed the record. where did KEITH get it from???

  • i really want to hear this but the vid is not loading. oh well, nice to know where to find you.

have a crazygr8day or night. best from japan,

eLi G., piaNOWARist. rockin channel you have!

  • finally could hear your nice playing man.

but could you not call them japs!

    from japan, best2UandYours,

    eLi G.

  • I love this guy...he's got the heart of Jarrett..thank you.

  • too bad they didn't transcribe the moaning :-) nice work

  • its fantastic

  • That was pretty damn fantastic!

I'm rehearsing it myself now, and wanted to see another persons take on it. Now I'm afraid to continue practicing!

  • Yes man, Bremen is really good. Jarrett music is such an inspiration, one evening in Paris I was playing "my song" in a pub... nice moment. Do you have some transcriptions from Bremen? Encore is really hard for me...

  • I will make a video for you of what i think the left-hand pattern is in the encore, next time i am near a piano (next week) ... the trick is to hit the G and A below middle-C simultaneously with your thumb.

  • Good in general, not so special the end part...

Keith is a genious, is very hard playing the music of a genious, and not only the Koln concert, have you ever heard Bremen Part II? Check out my videos...

  • bremen is probably my favourite keith concert. i'm trying to learn the encore. i love the vienna too.

  • nice rolls there! liked the simple ending, too.

  • havent you heard of light bulb...lol

joking hats is actually great bu i beleive you should listen t the pedal work of mr..jarret. it would greay improve your performance.

you use to much sustain.like probably 90% of the pianist that actually having a problem keeping each note dying naturaly.

  • Ripping video mate...and an Aussie to boot!!! Thank goodness, thought I was the only person in the country that knew about Jarrett. Maybe it's the circles I move in...

  • Good playing. Could have done with a bit more light on the keyboard.

  • Very nicely performed. Strong passion and strong technique. Very true version (except from the last 1/10) - but who's to blame you? I have my self interpreted (and transcribed) a Jarrett improvisation (a bit of it). Try and listen to it.

  • Great!

you play this part better than me!

we have the same taste in music: love radiohead, jarrett and zorn!

let me know if you come in Italy!

  • IF YOU LIKE IT, RATE IT. or if you don't like it, rate it but tell me what's wrong with it. some anonymous clown or collection thereof insists on rating all my videos badly and is too cowardly to leave any comments. and you all know i really deserve 5 stars. go on, admit it. i'm the best. SNARF

  • oh dear, someone gave me a one-star rating. too bad they didn't see fit to leave me some constructive criticism in a comment so i could know how I made such a bad impression and improve my playing...and maybe watch their videos and return the favour. hahaha

  • Fantastic! Bravo! One of the most amazing bits of music captured for posterity from the hands of a genius!

  • Thanks very much just great!!

  • Very cool! thanks for the video response, really enjoyed it

  • great to see someone else tackling this very special piece of music that we are ever-so-lucky to have in a closely transcribed sheet music form. i reckon in a month or two i will be able to bang out the entirety of part 1
