I hate to break it to you Anglo-Saxons but EVERYTHING you have today you stole from somebody else just that YOU NEVER GAVE IT BACK! The time has come for you kids to STOP living in the past and return Gibraltar to it's rightful owners (Spain) and GO BACK HOME TO England to eat your fish & chips and watch Manchester United games. Heck, Admiral Nelson tried to steal the Spanish Canary islands and lost his homo arm, 3 times in the 1700's you almost stole Spanish Minorca...YOU enjoy stealing....
Who cares it one day belonged to Spain, now it is a British colony. Now Get over it. I'm from Poland. And large territory of it was taken by other countries. So, what are we supposed to do, make a nuke to take it back? It's history, and you cannot change it, unless you start WW3.
@airbusisawesome Missed approach is a term specifically used for IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) procedures. An aborted landing or a go-around is used for aircraft flying a normal traffic pattern around an airport. This type of landings are mostly used by light aircraft flying VFR (Visual Flight Rules).
@ARESJMG Which authorities? oh, i forgot, the U.N is totally useless ( sarcasm).pirates can't have a say on anything. The one that is going to kill yourself will be you waiting for hours to cross the FENCE (THERE IS NO BORDER) into the rest of Spain, ha ha ha. Every time you fucking pirtates cross that fence, it remind you that you're nothing but damn pirates on occupied territory. They should just close the fence and let you rot in the rock.
They're not Gibraltarians, They're settlers/pirates. Their " referendums" don't count. The U.N says that Gibraltar is a colony that has to go back to Spain, and that's it! U.N also recognizes Ceuta/Melilla as transcontinental territories of Spain,so is not the same as Gibraltar. The real Gibraltarians are in San Roque. If they feel that they're " British", fine, they can move to Britain then. The territory is Spanish, Spain shouldn't give a damn about what the settlers want.
@nabu2k7 we do have airspace and we do have waters, no matter how tightly you shut your eyes and pray. Maybe you should pray for an economic bailout, that seems like a possibility, since YOU have no economy in the traditional sense of the word (and no, being the unemployment / cocaine capital of Europe does not count towards the economy).
@charetard What that hell Spain's economy has to do with pirate settlers occupying Spanish territory? Specially the Istmus, which they stole later on and is outside the Treaty of 1713? Spain was MUCH worse right after the Civil War in the 1930's,and she managed to survive, Spain didn't receive a dime from the Marshall Plan, while other countries like UK, France did. Spain will get better.Remember,Spain saved the Med from the Ottomans in the 16th Century,Maltese,Italians that now stole Gibraltar
@nabu2k7 . Your point about the Civil War is very valid and is true. My grand father served in the army back when conscription was still part of life. I apologize if i came across as particularly anti-spanish, I am not, i am actually half spanish and half gibraltarian so i see both sides of the argument, i do disagree with alot of your government's policies but then again i disagree with the UK's as well due to them having screwed us over many times in the past. Hate the english not the Llanitos
@charetard The actual people of Gibraltar celebrate an act of piracy against Spain in 1704,elevating the pirate Rooke as a " hero",this is an insult and a slap in the face to Spain.Gibraltar can't possibly say that you want to be " friend of Spain",when you celebrate a pirate that took advantage of a civil war in Spain in the XVIII century to steal land from her. Go to any native american reservation in the Americas and praise Columbus as a hero,u'll get ur ass kicked.I don't praise Columbus.
I believe it takes 7 mins to go round for another try..
This happened to us at Manchester....we were very low down and then nose up ...and up we went. The plane shook as if in shick! That was because of a bird strike on the plane before us.NOT a nice sensation.
I have flown into Gib so many times but have always been lucky and landed first time. Waiting for flights out I have not been so lucky and had to be coached down to Malaga as the plane was diverted there. Landing and take off from Gib is frightening as the runway is so short.
That must really annoy the car drivers waiting for the road across the runway to reopen. Does it open for 2 minutes whilst the plane goes round for another go?!
Flown to Gibraltar four times and this happened to me once. It is the most frightening experience in my life. The wind sheer is caused by irregular air currents around the Rock of Gibraltar. This kind of thing is not at all uncommon here. When this happened to me the Spanish wee in dispute about the border and we had to land in Algiers! Flew back to Gib next morning...
Damn nature - you scary!!!

I think it's called a missed approach. An aborted landing is where you take off after you've touched down. Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

And before you say the British stole it...Think again. Dumb Yanks.
