I've never used the iPad so I may be asking an obvious question, but how does one paint on the iPad with your fingers? Wouldn't your fingers be to big to get the small detail in the eyes? Or is there like some tool you use to shrink the brush?

i don't think you can screen record directly from the ipad.

Brushes is one of THE BEST APPS in the App Store!!! The fine detail can be done by just zooming in and making the brush small, then use your finger. I have the Brushes app on my iPhone 3G and I just zoom in to add fine detail for shading, lights and darks, etc. It allows you to zoom in 1600% on the iPhone 3G, I'm guessing the iPad can zoom even closer to add even more fine detail.

He's obviously using a picture, and just trying to draw that picture exactly. It's not as if he drew will smith from scratch, it's also obvious that he didn't use a picture for reference and then draw will smith with different emotions, or in a different position.

Somewhere on the internet, there's a real picture of will smith which is basically the same as what this guy drew.
