Hello i am in the process of repairing a 1973 VW 1600 cc engine/transmission, I have few problems and it would be a great help if you could answer them!

Problem 1: can't depress clutch, throw-arm and bearing work, the problem seems to be the clutch is jammed almost but its not.

Problem 2: engine will not spark, coil is good, park plugs/wires are good, would if be anything but the distributer and rotor?

Any answers are greatly appreciated!
