The private insurance companies are criminals. They bumped me off of coverage by doubling my premium when I became ill. They want it both ways, they want to collect premiums when you are well, but not pay out when you are sick. My cousin also has insurance and they only want to pay for half her chemotherapy treatments. They don't provide any value or utility to customers. There is no capitalism in the U.S.; there is only corporatism.

The state already provides medical assistance for uninsured individuals. There are programs in place. I have an uncle that has cancer and he was uninsured but he still received the coverage WITHOUT Federalized health care.

The private insurance companies are criminals. They bumped me off of coverage by doubling my premium when I became ill. They want it both ways, they want to collect premiums when you are well, but not pay out when you are sick. My cousin also has insurance and they only want to pay for half her chemotherapy treatments. They don't provide any value or utility to customers. There is no capitalism in the U.S.; there is only corporatism.

I think that if you're employed and have a decent income then getting reasonable health care isn't a problem for you.
If you have a life threatening condition, have children with chronic mental disorders, are of a lower income, unemployed, or dropped from your insurance company because of a "pre-existing condition" then you're either in debt or dead.
That sounds pretty shitty to me. Something needs to be done but I don't think a gov't run plan should be our only option.

The state already provides medical assistance for uninsured individuals. There are programs in place. I have an uncle that has cancer and he was uninsured but he still received the coverage WITHOUT Federalized health care.
This Federalized health care is a power grab that will take private control from EVERYBODY and put it into control of the government's hands. It is unnecessary. It is unamerican. It is WRONG.

If I had a catostrophic illness, the state and federal govt may help....but first I would have to sell everything of value that I own, including my home. If I had nothing, I would have free health care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are 1000's here that never work and get free healthcare and free food and free lodging and on and on......but if you work hard and get sick....you first have to lose everything you worked your entire life for...better to be poor and sick than middle class!

Those with the sweet gummint-job benefits packages or whatever can stick with exactly what they have.

Yes taxing someone 1% that is making over $300K a year is income redistribution. But so is paying higher premiums and emergency room costs.

Health care costs have skyrocketed because of so much govt intervention, the HC Provider cannot so much breathe w/o bureacratic red tape, not to mention how much care is given out for FREE,we all pay the costs of the indigents, HC provviders exist to make a profit and its best way to keep hc alive in this country. It doesn't mean higher taxes if you take the money from somewhere else. It actually translates into less taxes when they go to a doctors office this way, than if they go into an er like the currently do.
If this goes thru keep the insurance you have and go to a private hospital. That's what I'm going to do. Why would you purchase this plan if you don't agree with it and can afford something better?

When they spend 60% of their income on goods and the sales tax is 8%, and the rich spend .001% on groceries and goods that 8% is a higher tax on the poor person. Get it? You probably don't have sales tax in texas and that is why i'm getting back a fraction of a dollar per dollar I pay in taxes in chicago.

However, your formula does not represent eight percent of either 30,000 or 800,000,000. Percentage is calculated by multiplication, not division. An 8% tax on someone making 30 grand is $2,400. 8% of 800,000,000 is $64,000,000. Your self confidence is misplaced. Went to a public school to learn your math, huh? No offense to anyone who got a GOOD public education.
