I'm 23 and I started playing magic in middle school but I stopped somewhere in high school and sold alot of my expensive cards...last week I was going through my stuff and the magic bug hit me again so I went to Friday night magic and am in the process of building a competitive standard deck. After watching Brian win the Pro Tour Austin 2009 on youtube, my side project is building this deck for fun, it's very very sick and I love baneslayer angel!

punishing fire/grove definitely wasnt overlooked, it was noted in the very first thread in which punishing fire was spoiled. people just didn't give the synergy very much credit in the beginning and were more focused on the potential 1 hit kill via hexmage/DD
