That's too sad if this lovely place is threatened by development. Surely Ekerum realise that if they ruin this precious place, they ruin their own reputation.
...I would go to the government of the city and convince them: they should give this golf-company - instead of a wonderful paradise - an abbandaned area, a gab between buildings - whatever, - something, which needs to be changed to the better, : then this golfplace would be a blessing for the community, and the chance, that people come there to play, would be much bigger - because of sympathy.
So it also would be a good thing for the golf-company.
the problem here is that golf club already own this forest! Yes, you heard right! And now they have applied for building 150 summer houses close to the golf club. That is that what we are trying to stop. Many things have gone wrong from the beginning just because the politicians were blind and agreed in selling the forest to the golf club.
...1.they have to say why this place, (why not another one), - to say and to prove.
2. They have to prove that there is no other place in Sweden, where they can build this golfplace.
(that is very important!)
I suggest you to try to find abandoned places, perhaps nearby. Perhaps you can find a place, which already is destroyed and while changing it in a golfplace, it would be changed in a much more valuable place for the community....
What vandalism it would be! Golf clubs actively seek out places of beauty that they seek to own and to sanitise. But thus they destroy what they seek. The mere game of golf could be played anywhere, it certainly should be allowed to destroy this place of beauty and calm. I'll sign anything! Good luck!
When I first heard about the plans I just didn't want to hear, it was too sick! For thirty years I know and love this forest. And I'm not alone. When I gave lute courses on Öland we used to make jogging there every day.
That is very sad. The place is lovely, and I hope that you can keep it this way. "Business (money) takes over!" - this is how things often function today.
It would be important to inform people, who are in charge of protecting the environment. Their protest can help, perhaps. And I would inform officials - urban planner, for example, who feel responsible for nature and have the knowledge to find/offer other places or at least to ask for other solutions.
It's easy to say, it's bad, but we can't change it! But I know that we feel better when we try to change something! Even if you loose, you know, you are not alone! Thank you for your ideas!
It's a sad world where money in stead of beauty rules. The poor of spirit destroy the wealth that cannot not be replaced. What has made them so blind?
a long journey begins with the first step. And we can change if many people stand up and say: "no, not in this way, why not like this". And, what is good for the nature is good for us.

Thank you for your comment!
I hope that the Ekerums, they are businessmen, realize what good reputation means!

Lieber Stafan,

Dear Stefan,
also the film is very fine. It shows the sadness about the loss of a paradise.
These people, who plan to destroy that paradise -
I think, you (all) should demand something:...
