dexys best album was dont stand me down which had nothing 2 do with al...the reason the blue ox babes did not make it big is because Kevin Rowland was not in it...Al was good but Kev was and always will b more talented...lots of people copy ideas but he just made it sound better...

wierdly I was brought in to replace Yasmin Saleh when she left the band, I think because I looked just like her. Did a few gigs but then the band just faded away. Still have copies of Apples and Oranges and the single Walking on the Line as that was released when I was in the band.

still have my 12" single of this classy cut. I remember seeing them promote it on tv and thinking great style and sound and then watched as they disapeared and dexys became the most played mothers at every wedding in the land, with there stolen style. Do like celtic soul brothers though.
