  • danke fur das video

  • just say sorry, i'm sure everbody younger than 50 will know what you mean and most likely the older ones too ;)

  • ok tnx

  • i dont think Etshuldigung is the BEST word for im sorry.

the phrase es tut meir leid is more commonly used.

  • ich der computer Fächer

  • cool

  • es tut mir leid is what i was thinking lol both work i guess

  • @gottsein234 "es tut mir Leid" works for "I'm sorry" very well but not always for "excuse me". for example If you like to speak to a person you don't know you need to use "Entschuldigung." or better "Entschuldigen Sie bitte." If you say "Es tut mir Leid" the person may look like this: o.O at least I would do so ^^

    I hope this helped.

  • oh thanks i just noticed it has schuldig in it thats guilty right? learned that from a der bote song lol

  • @gottsein234 yes. schuldig means guilty. if you take apart "Entschuldigung" it is: Ent (prefix) = dis, schuldig = guilty, ung (suffix) = making the whole word become a noun.

All in all "Entschuldigung" or "Entschuldigen Sie bitte" is kind of an expression like: please do not consider me as guilty any more :D

Hope this sentence makes sense ^^
