  • whats is the first song being played at 0:08?

  • @ssayles4 I'm pretty sure it's just recorded for the game. It plays in the games intro too.

  • What do the bar heights and colours at the top of the screen represent? It looks like they are progress meters but how are they determined?

  • Okay.....so ANY guitar? Put some 7-string stuff in there...lol

  • @Pericles777 -pulls out 12 string- rocksmith? come at me bro! -indian walks out with 25 string suitar(some indian string intsrument)- bitch please.

  • Please release it in Sweden! want this sooo bad

  • Charles Trippy and Alli Speed brought me here..

    this is epic.

  • @sephiroth87932 Really? Lol Cuz i searched up "Guitar Hero" because my mom told me that they stopped making Guitar hero, and i saw Rocksmith and was like HOLY SHITZ! lol but this was like in the summer.

  • haha, looks like joe satriani :)

  • @alibaba934 nah, more like voldemort

  • so cool 8)

  • fkin sick i want this!

  • i fucking love this game!!

  • seems legit

  • Cuz Gibson gave them enough money to do that :P ... sponsor*

  • So do they give you the guitar or do you have to buy a guitar?

Looks sick I use to play bass but never went far with it got tired of it fast.

This is an actually good idea, So do you need to buy a guitar? or what? How does it work?

  • @Clambercty Well, you can't play guitar without a guitar. and it is not likely that you will get a free guitar when you buy the game... so you figure it out.

  • How advanced does the playing get? Like for people who already know how to play guitar?

  • Nice note reading program. will it teach chords and fingertapping?

  • THIS AIN'T OWNED BY EA! HOORAY!

  • so y is it nit for pc?

  • @ItsLeo214 Y U NO SPEL GUD?

  • So cool! Looking forward to playing this :) Was just wondering if there was a way to learn how to play in video game mode like this. My problem now is trying to find a lefty to use lol

  • What happens if I plug in a 12 string guitar? ;)

  • I'm not a fan of band games, but this is a great idea to invent a guitar game that you ACTUALLY learn instead of hitting 4 simple buttons.

  • Rocksmith: It will make you fuck up your walls.

  • my brother got this game and there was a half second delay between every note that he played and most songs you only play really basic stuff.

buy this for learning. not playing

  • @drDrewsy What's the A/V setup that your brother is using? With proper settings/connections the lag is imperceptible.

  • Well, I'll be damned. Had no clue such a game existed. Think I just found my nephew's Christmas present.

  • @tforkirbiie I don't think it will cause people to think their instant musicians, but it will be a good stepping stone for people whom have never played, on teaching them the basics. It's a lot better than having them play GH or RB and thinking their guitar gods. At least with this game, they'll be playing real guitar. It's a step in the right direction for rhythm games, if you ask me.

  • AWESOME!

  • does the game come with a guitar or do you have to buy one separate?

  • @tinnieandminga you have to buy one separate

  • @tinnieandminga They have a special edition which comes with an epiphone.

  • can anyone give me a review on this game? was it useful in learning different styles of playing? or do you feel like it would have been better to learn the music on your own?

  • is it 4 wii???

  • is there a story to this game like do u go on a world tour like in rockband and shit like that?

  • Thank you thank you thank you for this invention!! Alright kids, Step 1. throw your stupid Guitar Heroes and controllers in the trash, Step 2. get this game and learn to play the Guitar, Step 3. Rock the World!

  • When this will be released in the EU? -_-.I want to play it on my Pal Xbox D:

  • WTF?!!! EL JUEGO DE MIS SUEÑOS!! :o

  • Ok... here's my question, I can read chords but I can't read tabs, is this game will teach me how to read tabs???

  • @randieempee From what I heard yes.Plus it's really easy to read. The low E is the 6th string and the high E is the 1st one.And each number corrisponds to the fret you have to press, where O = no fret pressed and 1 = the one at the top of the neck.

    Rock on \m/

  • Can you use an acoustic-electric guitar?

  • @Nick0Kyuubi0Narion Jup, doesn´t sound all that good though most of the time if you use the amp configuration they give you for each song. But if you play around with the amp a little, you should get a decent sound out of it. If yours has a pickup instead of a mic it should be even easier.

  • good their is no redhot chili-pepper songs in this

  • "you can plug in any guitar!" and yet only mainstream guitar shown in video is a Gibson :p

  • @PrivateRyanGuitar Yea, I was disappointed that there was no Bass mode on it

  • @PrivateRyanGuitar cause i think and correct me if im wrong but gibson is the most famous guitar company out there i mean everyone from Jimmy Page to Billie Joel Armstrong have used them i dont i prefer to have a tremolo on my guitar but thats just me

  • @PrivateRyanGuitar there's a load of epiphones too

  • Meant to say, "you're going to pay for the songs you really want to learn"

  • The ugly: If you want to learn to play the guitar, you're just going to have to practice. Just like everything else you ever wanted to get good at. If this game is how you learn, the you'll never be able to learn any songs that aren't on this game. Good for them, bad for you. Trust me, you're going to pay the ones you really want. One more negative: You can't skip tutorials. Fail and you have to listen to Mr. Rogers explain it again, and there's way too much loading time. Just buy an amp!!

  • The bad: (500 chrctr lmt, must abrv8) Strngs are reprsntd as colors not #s? I, just as 1 in 7 men r COLOR BLIND!!! THANKS ALOT!!! Nvr seen sheet music in anything other than black n white. Dmn tuff 2 play wen 3 strngs luk identcal. Luk dwn 2 c wut u r doin wrong, by the time u luk up, hand shud'v movd 2 difrent spot on neck. This dosnt teach u how 2 lern, teachs how to memorize. I bot a gutar 2 play my favrit songs, not a bunch of stuff no 1s evr herd. Cant use this 2 play anything not on game

  • The good: Works on finger dexterity, speed, and accuracy. Probably teaches some good techniques the as you progress through the game too. It's also fun, as long as you don't start getting frustrated. As you play, it will adjust to your level, based on your accuracy, on-the-fly. So if you miss notes, it removes some from the upcoming lines, and vice versa...

  • I had extremely high hopes for this game when my friend told me about it. I thought, "Finally, I'll be able to get decent at playing the guitar. I've always hated guitar hero and rock band, because they're completely useless for actually playing a guitar. Now I can learn by playing a game and having fun." I bought it the day it came out, and played it immediately when I got home. So, here's the good, the bad, and the ugly from my point of view....

  • what about the bass players and 7 string guitarist?

  • Are there any metal songs on this?

  • Cartoon Violence ? XD

  • Is everyone upset cuz there isn't Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange buttons to test your "mad skills" ? LOLOL!!

  • @roasteddirt how so?

  • This will ruin muisc as we know it. :/

  • @tforkirbiie How so?

  • @wontmakeorbreakme Kids will be running around thinking they actually know how to play guitar. Talentless kids start "writing" music not actually knowing to do it. Just gets wrose from there.

  • @tforkirbiie True... I never thought of it that way. Essentially, this game DOES 'teach' you how to play the guitar, the problem is, you can only play the songs available to you on the game. Meaning you wouldn't be able to actually PLAY the guitar, you'd know how to play a set list of songs though if you have a good memory and LOTS of free time. I'd rather naturally learn how to play the guitar though, [By teacher or experience] because I like everything NATURAL.

  • Would there be bass version of this, by any chance?

  • @TheResiMac That would be cool ive been playing bass for 7 years this would be pretty cool.

  • Release in PC plzplzplzplzplzplzplzplzplzplz!!!!!!!!

  • What song is going on in the video when he says, "perform your own show?" @1:40 ~

  • @com3se3m3 Do you mean when he says "Perform the song"? Cause if thats the one youre talking about, the song is "Boys Dont Cry" by The Cure! :)

  • i want to play in pc

  • this sounds like fun

  • che tristezza

  • I don't know how to read a music sheet for guitar, I've seen it doesn't look like the piano sheets for example. Will this game help you read music? or are you stuck learning just from the future DLC for the game?

  • @danhayabusa : No, this game will not help you read music. It won't really help that much with tabs either. Which is what I do, and is basically cheating any way.

  • no bass?!?! wack!

  • This is a real life Action RPG I feel like my guitar skills jumped today at least 2 levels and I have been playing for sometime. This game is a challenge and if I did not have to work I would be playing it right now. You can even grind in this game via the mini games to work on hammer ons and hammer offs so many mini games you will be amazed by the attention of detail they poured into the game.

    Grind on my guitar fiends!

  • I just have to say I never got into Rock Band or Guitar Hero they were just games you didn't learn how to play the guitar at all. Now I have what I wish we all had 20 years ago. Rocksmith is the game/tool I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar on. Someone at Ubisoft should do something like this to teach us math and/or a foreign language. It is great and fun to have a real life challenge in front of you.

  • why not just learn by yourself...

  • @Eyedias Why? Because starting off by yourself is a bitch. If you have a teacher for 1 year you'll be able to atleast figure some stuff out on your own and progress. Even books for beginners are not that great.

  • @darkedgekilla learning guitar by yourself is not a bitch your still doing the same thing and playing a guitar. its not like this game (or a book) will help your fingers coordinate themselves onto a fret. just like any hobby or sport it all takes practice. but yes teachers probably do help, but this game not teaching you anything. its just giving you tabs to play and repeated tries until you have it done. just like it is learning by yourself. get a tab play and repeat till you got it.

  • @Eyedias Most people who are starting don't even know what a tab is and when they see them for the first time do they don't know what Hammer-ons, Pull offs, Pinch Harmonics are ect. Its better to learn about different Scales and Chords first from a Teacher because he'll show you how to adjust your hand or give you small tips that will make you progress much quicker. I'm sure this game will have more then just Tabs for songs, also keep in mine some people are better visual learners.

  • @Eyedias ...have you played this before?

  • @Najobajo no but i taught myself guitar just like most guitar renowned players out there

  • @Eyedias was gna post sumthin sayin the same thing. thx 4 bein real bro. lol

  • didnt know Voldemort was into playing guitar games :O

  • THE DARK LORD HAS RETURNED!!! come on am i the only person who thought he looks like voldemort?

  • he looks like joe satriani lol

  • wow here comes another power gig whats with these games =/

    so gay

  • this game is going to murder the real life guitar lesson industry.

  • @xXFR057Xx I thought the same thing! XD But, in my opinion, a machine could never replace a REAL GOOD music teacher :)

  • @briands1993 absolutely. id rather learn from a person. but for a beginner, this is golden. esp for people who dont have time to pay a teacher to teach them.

  • @xXFR057Xx Exactly, I think it's an excellent learning tool, and of course it seems pretty amusing. Not to mention that playing guitar is something really beatiful :)

  • can i use my own guitar to play it?

  • @gabri723 I'm sure you could.

Anyway, it seems like a nice concept......... I'm interested to see more.

  • @gabri723 Yes, you can use your own guitar.

  • Why not incorporate this concept into a piano format? does the rocksmith game come with a guitar or do you have to provide one for your self. how much does the rocksmith cost?

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

  • @jeremybrown82 The Bundle comes with an Epiphone Les Paul Jr for $199.99 the stand alone game is $79.99 and comes with the RealTone Cable
