I hope everyone talking about the Luftwaffe having the best pilots are talking about at the begining of the war. They had to be good and lucky to fly for six years without a break, except being in the hospital or buried in the wreckage of their planes. The pilots at the end of the war were ill trained and thrown into combat before being ready. Every country had its good pilots and its bad pilots, you just dont hear about the bad ones, unless someones score includes them.

Every expert would confirm that the german pilots , are the best in WW2 . That have nothing too do with racism or sometihng like that . That is fact . But the UK have realy good pilots too and the US have not enough experience to be better than the Uk or the German Pilots

Every outcome of a battle is influenced by training, tactics and equipment. This the nature of war. The germans hat better training, better tactics and better equipment. At the end the germans were not outclassed or outplayed, they were outnumbered and outbuilt. And still this was a honorable victory of the allied forces and not "unfair".

@n3rwusPL I think it is very impressive how the german army developed tactis which are still tought today despite the traditional direction of the nazi regime. From the blitzkrieg doctrine to tactics on squad level (a squad covering a machine gun instead the opposite way in WW1), technical development (first assault rifle, first rockets, first jet-fighters, flying wings etc.) they were just ahead of their time and thought everything new. All things which deserve to be highlighted.

An interesting fact is, that american war movies which were made in the 50s or 60s were much more positive to the german army. Maybe because the guys who fought against them were integrated in the production and it was not all made up by some hollywood guys.
Very good. I am Hungarian , and this video places a memorial for those who did obey the commanders as they should have, as they were soldiers. In Hungary many times happened that 5-600 B-17 came with 3-400 P-38, or p-51, and our guys went up. All the 18 of them... Bye the way... what is this music, it is sooooo good.

@sammni The US was providing much more aid to China then the British ever gave, and the US gave more aid to the UK, Canada, and Russia then any other nation. The US sent the P40s over to China to help stop the bombing raids. C-46/47 pilots risked their lives on a daily basis flying much needed supplies to the Chinese over the "hump." And BTW, the Italian armies were pure shit in WW2. Poor fighting quality and poor weapons, tanks, and anti tank guns. Dont forget the italians won one battle in WW2

Is one obviously a better pilot than the other? Marseille claimed to shoot down 17 planes in a single day. That was by having three different sorties in the day, and his claim has never been confirmed. German pilots were outstandingly good. So were American, Japanese, Italian, and French pilots. I also got to add that I think the Tuskegee Airmen are way more hyped up than anything. #1They became active in July 1944 (by this time the Luftwaffe had already been dominated by the allies. #2They were stationed in Italy and flew bomber escort into places like Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, and on rare occasion Germany. MIlk Runs! The Tuskegee airman was a positive move in civil rights, but don't confuse that with "GREAT" fighter pilots. The greatest pilots were of Germany for sure

Im British however I think the Luftwaffe fleet had some of the most advanced aircraft during WWII, they also had some of the most experienced pilots to fly those fantastic planes, this all came from their WWI experiences for example the red baron (a fucking legend even among the allies) Fighter pilots were among the most honourable people in WWI and WWII they were such gentlemen even towards their enemy.
Also Squadron no.303 (polish) was the highest scoring RAF squadron of the Battle of Britain.

If Germany had infinite fuel and supplies the war may have gone totally different. Hands down they had the best fighting force ever seen. From the Luftwaffe to their ground troops they were the best trained killers ever. Ask any vet who fought in WWII and they'll tell you about how Germany was a monster in battle, highly trained, highly regimented etc. If they'd had a true Leader and Patriot they could have done wonders for the world and led through example instead of through destruction.

4. Lufwaffen needed FW190 (best in plane war) but still they produced ME109 which were obsolete in the end of war.

The pilots at the end of the war were ill trained and thrown into combat before being ready. Every country had its good pilots and its bad pilots, you just dont hear about the bad ones, unless someones score includes them.

@n3rwusPL I think it is very impressive how the german army developed tactis which are still tought today despite the traditional direction of the nazi regime. From the blitzkrieg doctrine to tactics on squad level (a squad covering a machine gun instead the opposite way in WW1), technical development (first assault rifle, first rockets, first jet-fighters, flying wings etc.) they were just ahead of their time and thought everything new. All things which deserve to be highlighted.

Very good. I am Hungarian , and this video places a memorial for those who did obey the commanders as they should have, as they were soldiers. In Hungary many times happened that 5-600 B-17 came with 3-400 P-38, or p-51, and our guys went up. All the 18 of them... Bye the way... what is this music, it is sooooo good.

@sammni The US was providing much more aid to China then the British ever gave, and the US gave more aid to the UK, Canada, and Russia then any other nation. The US sent the P40s over to China to help stop the bombing raids. C-46/47 pilots risked their lives on a daily basis flying much needed supplies to the Chinese over the "hump." And BTW, the Italian armies were pure shit in WW2. Poor fighting quality and poor weapons, tanks, and anti tank guns. Dont forget the italians won one battle in WW2

It was his fist language. He joined the Navy in 1940 and chased Germ. ships in the Caribbean with the Brits in 1940. In '41 he chased wolf packs in the Atlantic. I also got to add that I think the Tuskegee Airmen are way more hyped up than anything. #1They became active in July 1944 (by this time the Luftwaffe had already been dominated by the allies. #2They were stationed in Italy and flew bomber escort into places like Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, and on rare occasion Germany. MIlk Runs! The Tuskegee airman was a positive move in civil rights, but don't confuse that with "GREAT" fighter pilots. The greatest pilots were of Germany for sure

Im British however I think the Luftwaffe fleet had some of the most advanced aircraft during WWII, they also had some of the most experienced pilots to fly those fantastic planes, this all came from their WWI experiences for example the red baron (a fucking legend even among the allies) Fighter pilots were among the most honourable people in WWI and WWII they were such gentlemen even towards their enemy.
Also Squadron no.303 (polish) was the highest scoring RAF squadron of the Battle of Britain.

Ask any vet who fought in WWII and they'll tell you about how Germany was a monster in battle, highly trained, highly regimented etc. If they'd had a true Leader and Patriot they could have done wonders for the world and led through example instead of through destruction.

i think that the germans hat the best army's of Ww2 Wernmacht and the mighty Shützstaffel and then luftwaffe my favorite plane is the Bf-109 and the Bf-110-and The Ju87-88 and then the jetfighter Horten ho 229xD

@Headjangle they are possibly the shittest planes of WW2 and the ju87 was withdrawn from battle of britain after a month cos they were a fucking turkey shoot joke, Ju88 was a flimsy piece of shit, the me110 couldnt turn and could only form defensive cantabrian circles when outnumbered (goerrings favourite plane tho), 109 maybe for the cannons!, spitfire mk16 could outclimb the Fockewulf 190 (the best german plane) and the p38 lightning and p51 mustang blew the fuck out of the kraut fighters!

you are like many here, psydo knowlegde and big mouth. The planes of the Luftwaffe where top of the notch 1939, Colonel Rudel destroyed in his "shitty" Ju87 over 500 tanks . That are 3 entire tank regiments !!!! Among the Top 100 Fighter pilots 99% are German, but you are right they did it with shitty planes and no hope !

@BlitzWotan yeah the top 99% hahaha, thats why 12 spifires would encounter 200+ me109s and 200+ bombers at a time, germany lost 1800 planes and the RAF 1050, yeah but only 'SHIT' pilots outflew the lufwaffe almost everytime during the battle of britain! and u had the sun behind you and altitude! u cocksucker!
