Greg, I just wanted to tell you, the reason Jesus Christ came. You see- He is God in the flesh. He came to pay the death sentance for everyone who will believe in Him. There are many religions, but only One True God. All roads lead to Him, but only One, the narrow way - through His only begotten Son - lead to the Father, the rest - to the Judge. Religions are similar yes, but Jesus is unique, he offers eternal life and has done everything, so all you have to do is accept him. No other religion has a God that sent their son to die, you all have to work and hope that you have done enough to be saved.

Not necessarily searching anymore, rather than living life, and doing my best to objectively understand it. The reference to "looking" was true - at one time I was looking, and I'd eventually come to the answer that I cannot truly know the answer, because I didn't fully understand the question.

Encapsulated? Hmmm...well, more or less the idea is to exist objectively. It would be like striving toward being able to fully choose and change anything and everything about yourself as you see fit. Honestly, it's a very simple philosophy, but the only way I have of explaining it is kind of complicated. I personally don't have an easy way of explaining it

But like I said, for me Daoism is close, but still no cigar.

Many years ago, when I was a teenager, I gave Christianity a shot, but it wasn't what I was looking for. After Christianity I found a number of other religions and various philosophies, and none of them fit either. There were pieces from all that stuck, but none as a whole were what I was looking for. The closest actual religion I've found that is like what I believe is Daoism, but it still doesn't fit the bill either.

I don't know if it's an accident or not. But then again, with current science theory (not fact, but theory), there's the possibility that there was no point of creation, but that existence has no beginning nor end due to string plane collision. I have no idea, truthfully. But I will say that I'm not willing to fill the empty gaps of knowledge with a god built on subjective evidence, requiring faith either.

As far as a point though - well...I know that the point of a book is to be read, and that the point of a drum is to be beaten to make music. I think that the point of life is to be lived. What to do with that I believe is up to the individual - to find their own answers, and find fulfillment in whatever they can. (cont. in next post)
