I ***LOVE*** this song! SoOo cute! TY for detailing how to attach the pieces (using edible glue or water). This is always my issue when trying to make a person/character. My other issue is with gumpaste arms. I attempted to make a janitor (for a janitor's cake) and his arms kept falling off (attached them with toothpicks) so have to figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong.

Wow! this is AWESOME! I'm planning to make a wedding cake topper for my sister using gum paste. It's my first time!!! nervous!!! When I was trying to make the faces etc, there are folds and "cracks" on my gum paste. Why is that? Also, what colours did you use for the face (skin tone)?

no dont worry! ofcourse i dont mind telling you! if your from england, i used a product called 'renshaw' and you can buy this from any cake shop. but as its your first time, i recomend you go to the baking isle in your local supermarket and look near the icing sugar and food colouring (thats often where it is) and look for a product that will be called something like 'ready to roll icing' or something similar. it will come in blocks of roughly 1kg or 500g.

That fondant you're using looks very nice to work with (I found the marshmallow stuff very sticky to handle).

It was! i find it even easier to handle if you add a bit of CMC powder which makes it a bit tougher.
