You are supposed to have an item called "pal pad" which it supposed to be located in your bag in the key items section. And if you don't have one already, you get one in the pokemon center downstairs and a lady will automatically give it to you.

Lol nah! Alot of people didn't know where to get a pal pad in the game. Its all good.
