If there is anyone to blame it is the xenophobic politicians who should be blamed. The ones who make the immigration laws that make it almost impossible for Mexican people who actually want to be American citizens, learn the language, and embrace the culture to do so. Becoming a U.S. citizen is extremely hard and can take years or even decades, while most will never even be considered.

Seems like everybody hates either the border agents or the illegal immigrants. I myself am an American of Mexican descent and possess the rare attribute of having both loved ones who are border patrol agents and loved ones who are Mexican citizens. The BP agents are not Nazis. They are just trying to make a living like everyone else. Likewise, most of the illegals are just people trying for a better life. Admittedly some are Mexican criminals or dangerous, but most are not.

@RadioPops You can not be an american mexican citizen, you can either be a mexican or american, because mexican is not a race or ethnicity, it's a place where a person is born raised and living in mexico and who's parents are mexican citizens, you can not be both, if you are american your pride and haritage and loyalty should be to america, i do'nt understand this trend going on right now with those from mexico, they are showing loyalty to mexico, but ran away from mexico.but won't live there.

@makeme708 That really has nothing to with my argument. Nor did I say I was an "American Mexican" citizen. I said I was an American of Mexican descent. That mean my distant relatives were Mexican citizens not me. Furthermore, It IS possible to be both an American and Mexican citizen. It's called dual citizenship. As for this "trend". Yes there are some idiots that support their initial country over America, but most people are simply proud of their heritage.
