Don't know if the chess guy is real, but looks like he is real. If so this is the worst scene I have seen from Dom Joly (and I am a big fan of his). To completely ridicule and mock someone's entire life (and chess is probably his entire life) is bad taste. He is basically saying that 'your life is worthless and wasted' through mockery on television. Personally I agree that chess is crap but who am I to judge?
