forward compatibility did I hear that right the main reason i didn't want to buy these games was because they didn't have that if they actually have it I will buy the previous titles along with this one.
Looks good to me. I kindof wanted more notes than that but still, unless you were planning on making ten minute prog metal songs, You're unlikely to run into that limit. The densest song I've made in ghwt comes to 4516 notes in 2:42 (Spark Mandrill), and that has almost constant rhythm, drums, and bass on 16ths for much of the song. So 7500 isn't shabby at all.
That seems like it's more refined, but the 7500 limit being shared sort of bummed me out... But I guess it may sound a lot more authentic too. :)
But I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to actually being able to get around using the help features, which seems cool. Plus the guitar looks beastly.

Apparently the length of the song is changed too. I can't recall if Brian speaks about it in this video but its supposedly around 10 minutes now.

I knew that, thus the prog metal comment. Struck me as a good note-dense example genre which would run into the limit before ten minutes go by.

But in GHWT there is a 1200 note limit, how did you get 4516 notes?
whenlifewontwait 2 years ago
1200 notes an instrument, I think.
This is awesome, I can make songs and not get annoyed by a sudden ending!

Shared pool?
<_<
Well there goes my hopes.
I heard 7500... was like :D
Heard "Shared Pool"
Then I was like D:
That averages out to about 1500 notes per instrument, in theory...
If you make a 10 minute song, that's 150 notes a minute <_< GHMix in GHWT was 400 notes a minute.
My hopes for GHMix are all gone now ;_;
