I bought it new. All the front end parts needed to be replaced the first time at 15,000 miles and then every 15,000 miles unless I wanted to hear the front end clunking away. It's a poor design. Period and they should be slapped!

A guy I worked with had a Subaru wagon, it was pretty trouble free, but when it did break down, most parts to repair something were super expensive, and were only avalible thru a Subaru dealer, since most Auto store like Pep boys, Auto zone, etc
did not stock them, example, a exaust manifold for a 4 cyl, 700.00 dollars! and to have the transmission or 4 whl drive repaired, your talking thousands of dollars.

Subaru is a Japanese company but I can guarantee you the Tribeca model is not assembled in Japan- the WRX/STi models are assembled in Japan. I'm also willing to bet a lot of the parts and components are sourced from Mexico or even China.

I bought it new. All the front end parts needed to be replaced the first time at 15,000 miles and then every 15,000 miles unless I wanted to hear the front end clunking away. It's a poor design. Period and they should be slapped!

A guy I worked with had a Subaru wagon, it was pretty trouble free, but when it did break down, most parts to repair something were super expensive, and were only avalible thru a Subaru dealer, since most Auto store like Pep boys, Auto zone, etc
did not stock them, example, a exaust manifold for a 4 cyl, 700.00 dollars! and to have the transmission or 4 whl drive repaired, your talking thousands of dollars.

3 out of 4 is a good ratio. I see a ton of "Subarus rule" videos and this one that doesnt like them. A lemon is a vehicle that was poorly built like you said on July 5th. I would think that most of them are good. I know the older Subis are pretty great. I would buy a subaru from the 90s with 150,000 miles before i would buy a newer almost anything with 50,000 miles. Just my opinion. Sorry about your bad experience. I hope they step up for the lemonness.
