Looks like you lost traction in the turn, no fault of the Ferrari driver, though he didn't really help much either. As he didn't cause you to spin, he got no penalty.

In the other instance, he braked hard and impacted you then went into a spin, the marshals (code masters brilliantly flawed code) decided that you caused the spin and should have accelerated to let the guy past.

When you race online, you should just find responsible players and race in a private game. The penalty system sucks though, I span across a wet track completely out of control, thus cut a corner and got disqualified...

@kantnklaar Any race with AI is just as bad. The other day I did an online race with a friend and we filled the remaining spots with AI at Pro difficulty, the race was 50%. About 18 laps in, I was coming up to lap Hamilton. Instead of moving completely out of the way like the other AI normally do, he decided to move over then smash into me and run me off the road. Then again, that shows that Codemasters are getting better at programming AI.

I think the cause of the second penalty is that you're moving toward him, i.e. you're turning in on him. Not saying that's correct of course, if someone puts their car in a gap that's bound to disappear when you have the racing line it's completely their fault not yours... but I think this is why the game engine is getting it wrong.
