@123likay nd mo lang kc maintindihan ang american pronouncation,kc charice is mentored by david foster who is very particular with her grammar,accent and pronouncation,her english in short. before charice left the philippines,she already told during her interview na magtatagal xa sa states. kailan ba ngkaroon ng project sa pinas si charice?state based kaya xa? charice goes to philippines for holiday and concerts which is sinamantala ng mga networks to invite her for tv appearances.

@123likay tune in to more of Charice's recent vids...you will see a lot of difference now, especially after her shooting stint on "Here Comes The Boom" where Charice has had numerous interviews. Practice makes perfect, I must admit...she was still a struggling artist then, it showed 'coz she needed much mentoring...I just feel blest for her now, to be surrounded by magnificent mentors as Oprah, DF, Eric Vetro...and her mom to keep her feet on the ground.

Sarah, though technically good to, needs to hone her craft more for proper voice control. Both are humble, which is good in staying for good as an artist. Charice earns dollars, Sarha doesn't. Both are now well-off financially...
@123likay ...Sarah's contracts are solely in the Philippines, which compels her to stay in the Philippines. Charice's contract is in US. Sarah, unless invited or plans to make concerts in US, will only gain Pinoy audiences, while Charice is an International sensation. Charice's audiences vary and are not solely Filipinos. Our Philippine networks are the one eyeing and rooting for Charice, not the other way around. The Philippine networks are the ones adjusting to Charice's availability.
guys, you need to know that charice only has been in the US for 3-4 years... her accent will get better over the time just like everyone else...living in the US while socializing and interacting with other English speakers will definitely help her a lot... wouldn't it be great if she could just sing to convey the messages instead of speaking?

@appacana I understand her, but i don't get her point exactly as she talks about the song "Pyramid". I think she can speak pretty well, but to get more fluent will definitely help. As an fan (of any music in general) it's nice to know the artists point of view in their music. It makes them more interesting coz it shows theyre involved with their stuff. It just so happens English is a universal language compared to Tagalog and theres nothing we can do to change that.

@123likay nd mo lang kc maintindihan ang american pronouncation,kc charice is mentored by david foster who is very particular with her grammar,accent and pronouncation,her english in short. before charice left the philippines,she already told during her interview na magtatagal xa sa states. kailan ba ngkaroon ng project sa pinas si charice?state based kaya xa? charice goes to philippines for holiday and concerts which is sinamantala ng mga networks to invite her for tv appearances.

@123likay tune in to more of Charice's recent vids...you will see a lot of difference now, especially after her shooting stint on "Here Comes The Boom" where Charice has had numerous interviews. Practice makes perfect, I must admit...she was still a struggling artist then, it showed 'coz she needed much mentoring...I just feel blest for her now, to be surrounded by magnificent mentors as Oprah, DF, Eric Vetro...and her mom to keep her feet on the ground.

Sarah, though technically good to, needs to hone her craft more for proper voice control. Both are humble, which is good in staying for good as an artist. Charice earns dollars, Sarha doesn't. Both are now well-off financially...

Sarah, unless invited or plans to make concerts in US, will only gain Pinoy audiences, while Charice is an International sensation. Charice's audiences vary and are not solely Filipinos. Our Philippine networks are the one eyeing and rooting for Charice, not the other way around. The Philippine networks are the ones adjusting to Charice's availability.

guys, you need to know that charice only has been in the US for 3-4 years... her accent will get better over the time just like everyone else...living in the US while socializing and interacting with other English speakers will definitely help her a lot... wouldn't it be great if she could just sing to convey the messages instead of speaking?

@martinzazueta:I hope they could hire her a speech tutor or english conversation practice teacher of some sort.If you watched her on Glee you could tell how thick her accent is,which is i guess a turn off. I don't agree when you said her accent disappears when she sings.she still mispronounces a lot of english words. but again it's nothing compared to her talent. I just believe she should work on her communication skills so she can say something else than "you know" and "like" during interviews.

@TheElle031107 of course she has to have thick accent in glee. she's a filipino exchange student- a foreigner.don't expect a foreigner to speak with an american twang. most germans and french can speak english but they do have accents. does it matter? as long as they can communicate, that's what is important. i do think she's got a speech tutor(. she can afford it now) because she has an american manager who knows best. she has improved a lot, hasn't she?

no i wont crucify you, its true she is learning English but if you see videos of her speaking a few years ago you can tell how much she has improved. But as you can probably tell, not only is her singing voice great but when she sings her accent disappears entirely now I think that that's something incredible

@appacana I understand her, but i don't get her point exactly as she talks about the song "Pyramid". I think she can speak pretty well, but to get more fluent will definitely help. As an fan (of any music in general) it's nice to know the artists point of view in their music. It makes them more interesting coz it shows theyre involved with their stuff. It just so happens English is a universal language compared to Tagalog and theres nothing we can do to change that.
