I'm about to go through this next wednesday (17th August) along with a laproscopy, hysteroscopy, d&c and dye through the fallopian tubes. I hope this works for me because i'm so wanting this to work out. Anyone out there had success with this procedure with pcos and infertility?
i have an laproscopy to remove my cyst...i am so scared of the pain...before this i have also done tube test and it was out of the world pain...pls tell me..how is this laproscopic procedure..do they give u anesthesia?
Hello, I personally do not think that most women need to get this done. I had a LOT of cysts and I took care of things through a nutritionist and from what I have learned in school and also through research. I am still able to control it. Yeah the doc said get surgery but I am glad I waited. Very Glad! lol
@sairaj1 Oh and more. Look I have no idea HOW BAD your condition is, if it is infact SO bad then Doctors suggest women to get this procedure done. There is a downside to the procedure. Ovarian drilling is for absolutely the last thing to try, because it can hurt more than it helps. There is scar tissue that can be worse than the cysts. It makes sense because any type of surgery SHOULD be the last resort.
@sairaj1 g8 Dear.gve me some tips how can i cure it naturally.its really disturbing me ,taking pills every day ....metformin ,contraceptive...yukkkk i really want to get out of ths...want to b normal.:(
i m pcod patient ,have been taking treatment from feb 2010, now my doc told me ovarian drilling this month.i m really scared can anybody tell me that how much painful this procedure really have?and once the drilling done then how long this procedure will be effective?coz after drilling doc gve me iui treatment.plz help help help me i really want to know
@paploobabloo Hi, I can answer this. The doctor has most probably checked your hormone levels and will do so after the surgery. It's effectiveness should last from 8-9 years. Why not just control it through diet and exercise, detox and wait a little? Talk to your doctor and ask him/her ALL the questions you have asked her. It is VERY important that you do so. I am not sure HOW bad your ovaries are. Maybe surgery is VERY important. If it is not then talk to other docs TOO!
@sairaj1 Thanks for u r reply ,but little late...coz.... actually i had taken second opinion (frnd's mom) she is a gyne...I really dont knw i hve done wrong or right..so i have decided second alternative of contraceptive pills ,which i have been taking from last 6 month.. and 3 month back i had done tvc and the report shown positive result ...means my PCOS reachd border level...so my next and final test wll b done in ths month end. i really dont knw the consequence in future... lets c
@paploobabloo How much do you weight? Are you detoxfying your body while taking alternative medicine WITH your glucophage and birth control pills? My pcos has been border line TWO times. It was bad a few weeks ago too. I didnt have my periods for months so had to take progesterone again. I can tell you in detail the different herbs and vitamins you should take and the type of diet you should eat. I had so much hair on my face that it looked like I had a beard. Lost a lot of hair too.
I also want to say that you must eat the right foods, exercise and loose if weight if you have too, even if it is at a slow pace, take your medication and take certain alternative medicines to keep going. you WILL see the difference. my hair grew back AND i got laser hair treatment. I still get facial hair but it is just SOOO much better now. You gotta fight something in your life. Sometimes it is an illness and sometimes it is something else. HOW high are your testosterone levels?
@sairaj1 its difficult for foody person like me to b calculative for u r daily intake... but i wll try my best ... starting from today...no tomm in dictionary u were right that most woman has tried all of these things nd give up very early.... m one of those.:(:(and i m planning to change my doctor also ... i need a doctor who can understand me mentally and emotionally...he/she should nt be money minded..
@paploobabloo if your pcos is that bad and you have it is then you SHOULD take it. also because your doc recommended. Not sure if you need to loose weight but if you had lost a significant amount then you could have do away with the metformin. do what you need to take and you got to watch your diet. walking everyday even if it is long hour will help your case.
@paploobabloo metformin actually put me in the hospital! then they switched me to Aldactone (another insulin resistant drug) and it truly worked like a charm. Just make sure you take it at night and eat at least a peice of bread and have a glass of milk with it to stop the upset stomach..
@Chezzymay123 Thanks for sharing but my question is cant i cure my PCOS naturally without any medicine like metformin???, I stopped taking Metformin from my last cycle..without informing 2 Doctor..will it harm me??
@sairaj1 now u will laugh on me wht m going to say u.... i never had any hormones test ,doc never recommended me for these test.and my height is 5.6'...weight is 70-72kg..and wht is the meaning f detoxifying u r body??i didnt gt tht...i also suffering frm same hair prob which u have.. and dear i dnt knw much abt medical line...i only knw tht wht doc told me n wht m suffering or few info from the net...but some time i didnt understand the meaning of something... like detoxifying ...
@sairaj1 so u have to treated me like a layman....and u knw m so motivated after chating w u tht i m going to start walk from today...hehe and u knw wht i told to my servant nt to come from today coz i wll do all my household work myself that is the first step which i have taken yet...just wanna share w u ... plz guide me more like...from where i can start...etc etc
@paploobabloo my ovaries have been bad too. but i was able to take care of it through research a nutritionist and patience. i still remember going to the gyno and she told me that,"Oh poor baby. You just need to register by next month and I can treat you. You need surgery." And Then I said," But surgery is NOT the cure. The symptoms come back don't they?" And then she said,"Yes but temporarily you will have taken care of your symptoms." So then I then I found a nutritionist.
@sairaj1 how much u had taken time to gt u r ovaries normal..?? actually m going for shortcut coz i want to have a baby now..its been three years f my marriage still we have no baby...and u can say its social or family pressure or our emotions also. i really want to b a mother ...but dnt knw y god done ths w me.:(sorry m little depressed....but its never too late... m ready to start now w patience just need little guidance like where to start or nt....hope u can understand ...
@paploobabloo 90% of the women are overweight and even though it is a bit harder to loose weight you MUST find a good nutritionist and a trainer. Start loosing that weight and take your vitamins and medications. Try you best to control your carb intake and TRUST me you will get start getting your period. I think when a woman has tried ALL of these things and most women give up every early...when a woman has tried it ALL THEN go for surgery. Be patient and work hard at controlling this syndrome.
fertility treatment when women have a condition called PCOS poly cystic ovarian syndrome or cysts in the ovaries the eggs arent ovulating or releaseing from the ovary instead they stay in there causeing no ovulation(when the egg escapes from the ovary) instead the ovary bloats up with all these eggs that wont ovulate so this procedure drill holes into the ovaries so they can release an the woman can ovulate release ans egg! and possible get pregnant
