I think Archimonde and Kil'jaeden were pretty much equal. Archimonde was just too arrogant for his own good, which caused his demise. If Kil'jaeden did the same thing, the same story would've happened.

I remember when Eredar used to be a race of demons, with the Pit Lords and Nathrezim. Blizzard just had to screw the lollore for WoW, thus making them related to the blue tentacled goats known as draeni.
they didnt change the lore the only eradar we knew were Kel'Jaden and Archimond at the time so we thought all demons = Eradar , we knew next to nothing about draenei.

you see, Archimonde was in "War3: Reign of Chaos" and in "Frozen Throne" they just coloured the same model red to create Kiljaeden, they also used the same skin to create eredar warlocks, eredar diabolists, Eredar sorcerors (all are NPC's in Warcraft 3), to avoid creating new models & animations.

The Three Draeni Leaders were Archimonde, Kil'Jaeden, and Velen. When the Burning Legion offered them Help, the ones who accepted were followers of Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde, who were then mutated to Eredar.
You very well could be right. My understanding was those who followed Velen from Argus went to Draenor and it was there that they became the Draenei. With the opening of the Portal, the Third War,teh destruction of Draenor and the impending return of the legion, they bailed from Draenor and arrived on Azeroth.
Thank You for Clearification, but from what I remember Sargeras had decided to change the Draeni alittle so that they didn't seem identical to the "Children of the Light" They truly were.

I would suggest looking at the WoWWiki articles on teh Draeni, as well as the Eredar and the history of the burning legion. It sums it all up nicely.
TECHNICALLY: I find that the Horde are "good" and the Alliance is evil, but only in the context of WoW. The horde of WC-WC2 were corrupted by the legion, so I can't really fault them for what happened. But the alliance rounded them up and put them in camps, and basically drove them to near extinction.
Voiceofthelost about what you said for the Good And Evil. Doesn't the Alliance have to do what they must to protect who they are? Their more religious side is actually fighting the war. Anything they do to retreat goes against theyre principles. If the Horde were the other way and aliens came on to Dreanor would they fight? There is no good and Evil.

Well actutaly thats not compleatly correct. Their race was originaly called eredar, from the world of Argus. Velen and his people were named draenei when they refused to join the legion and escaped Argus. Dreanei means exiled ones in their language I think. I looked it up. XD
psh it was the same thing for MC with ragnaros you fight him when he isnt at full strength. Kil'jadean could destroy the galaxy with the swipe of his hand.
No he couldn't... no one in WoW lore can do that, especially not villains. No one in WoW is omnipotent or omnipresent or anything like that. Kil'jaeden's tought but there are a few things out there that are tougher, and they can't destroy galaxies either
for such beings blizz should make a lengendary set you should collect from diffrent bosses makeing it so you need 1 person with the entire set to help you would make more sense i geuss...

you don't kill him, you force him back through the portal.
Like Sargeras, demons and the like are very vulnerable when using a portal to reach a world. Kil'jaeden is no different. I'd expect us only to kill him in 2-3 more expansions. No way are we killing him here.
I was expecting him to look more... well, more. He is essentially the leader of the Burning Crusade, one of the few the great Illidan Stormarage fears. He looks kinda cruddy for such a powerful being

From what I heard you don't really kill him, you fight some sort of "transition" Kil'jaeden, who isn't properly in the material world but focusing most of his power into materialising. So it isn't like you "kill Kil'jaeden".
That's a lot like how the Night Elves fought a "transition" Sargeras when he tried to come through the original Well of Eternity during the War of the Ancients.
Yeah, like when Aegwynn, mother of Medivh, defeated Sargaras in Northrend. It was only Sargaras' avatar. Aegwynn took Sargaras' body to the Tomb of Sargaras. So technically, Sargaras is still alive. Should the World Tree, aka. Nordrassil, fall Sargaras would be able to enter Azeroth to get his body.
Archimonde is NOT stronger than Kil'jaeden. Look it up on WoWWiki. And in WC2 Kil'jaeden has wings, so I think that's why Blizzard chose to give him wings.

Just for the people like DarkBladeXtream who were confused why they looked like Draeni, heres why.
The Three Draeni Leaders were Archimonde, Kil'Jaeden, and Velen. When the Burning Legion offered them Help, the ones who accepted were followers of Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde, who were then mutated to Eredar.

Velen, Arch, and Kil are all Eredar. Eredar is their race, or species if you will.
The Dranei are the ones that left Draenor, and followed Velen.
All Dranei are Eredar. Not all Eredar are Dranei.

Didn't the Draenei leave Argus before Draenor? 'Cos from what I understand Draenor is Outland, and they arrived there after fleeing the first planet.

You very well could be right. My understanding was those who followed Velen from Argus went to Draenor and it was there that they became the Draenei. With the opening of the Portal, the Third War,teh destruction of Draenor and the impending return of the legion, they bailed from Draenor and arrived on Azeroth.

I would suggest looking at the WoWWiki articles on teh Draeni, as well as the Eredar and the history of the burning legion. It sums it all up nicely.
TECHNICALLY: I find that the Horde are "good" and the Alliance is evil, but only in the context of WoW. The horde of WC-WC2 were corrupted by the legion, so I can't really fault them for what happened. But the alliance rounded them up and put them in camps, and basically drove them to near extinction.

Voiceofthelost about what you said for the Good And Evil. Doesn't the Alliance have to do what they must to protect who they are? Their more religious side is actually fighting the war. Anything they do to retreat goes against theyre principles. If the Horde were the other way and aliens came on to Dreanor would they fight? There is no good and Evil.

Well actutaly thats not compleatly correct. Their race was originaly called eredar, from the world of Argus. Velen and his people were named draenei when they refused to join the legion and escaped Argus. Dreanei means exiled ones in their language I think. I looked it up. XD

you don't kill him, you force him back through the portal.
Like Sargeras, demons and the like are very vulnerable when using a portal to reach a world. Kil'jaeden is no different. I'd expect us only to kill him in 2-3 more expansions. No way are we killing him here.

From what I heard you don't really kill him, you fight some sort of "transition" Kil'jaeden, who isn't properly in the material world but focusing most of his power into materialising. So it isn't like you "kill Kil'jaeden".
That's a lot like how the Night Elves fought a "transition" Sargeras when he tried to come through the original Well of Eternity during the War of the Ancients.

Yeah, like when Aegwynn, mother of Medivh, defeated Sargaras in Northrend. It was only Sargaras' avatar. Aegwynn took Sargaras' body to the Tomb of Sargaras. So technically, Sargaras is still alive. Should the World Tree, aka. Nordrassil, fall Sargaras would be able to enter Azeroth to get his body.
