  • WTF and I thought sony made the most obvious copies of Nintendo products

  • A person in 1986: Like this company Sega will ever catch on....

  • what was that sega master system game where you have a blue backgroumnd amd f;y a [;ane and grab white items onn a ground with white fences on each side off the items

  • I remember browsing the roms on a masters system for hours nto finding any good games...so master system was really that bad.

  • @GeorgesVI Well, they actually made an 8-bit Sonic the Hedgehog on the Master System, in case you're interested.

  • I hear SEGA Master System was popular in Europe but flopped in the US.

  • @cohenaaronm6 It was indeed. I'm in the UK and the Master System was huge compared to NES. Basically because NES didn't get the advertising it did from the US. So we sega owners over here actually dispised the 'Megadrive' for being chosen to replace a successful machine.

  • Ninetendo were always far smarter than Sega, i remember passing the Sega building in London while in a bus and right outside this massive Sega building was a poster on a advertising board of why the snes was better than the megadrive!

So they build this impressive building with huge sega letters on it, but all Nintendo did to undermine is was put their advertisment poster up next to it, sheer class to be honest!

  • P.S. Alex Kidd in Miracle World > Super Mario Bros

  • So to call the NES an overrated POS?? Dude, you are seriously living the past if you can't acknowledge the contribution the NES and Nintendo have made to the video game industry.

  • @firebrand12345 What contribution?

  • @ResurrectedTemplar zzzzzzzzz

  • @firebrand12345 Nicey.

You, Nintendo fans hail NES for "saving" video games after the 1982 crisis. But the crisis was, surprise for you, in only one market.

  • what crisis?

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Yeah and Sega gave Nintendo competition!

  • @ResurrectedTemplar yeah, a huge fucking market, dipshit

  • @redroweneht But not the only one. fucktard.

  • Does anybody know who does that song at the end of this?

  • @Beepers100 it's Massive Attack - Teardrop

  • FACT: Everyone in this advert is still a virgin.

  • o that where good times back in the day.

I know i ask a sega for christmas and they give me a atari. No bad feelings about killing the MTFérs. Still want a sega do

  • NES is a fucking piece of shit compared to SMS, i like alot more SMS games than NES games. I got a NES in 85 played Mario and Chopilifter, then 86 rolled around and out came the SMS with a better Choplifter and a lil game called Alex Kidd. When I bought it I couldn't put it down, and people came to my place to play light-gun games like Gangster Town and Safari Hunt; which was like 10 times better than Duck Hunt.

The NES is the most overrated POS in the face of videogames!!

  • @ldlrdrllrr sega fanboy, but who cares? SMS had its hits too- I thought Wonder Boy was pretty fucking awesome at least the first one. Sega also had better graphics but did not have as many good games. I don't play much SMS but the only real hitters I know of are Alex Kidd, Phantasty Star, Fantasy Zone and wonderboy. NES has mario, zelda, metroid, kirby, contra, gradius, adventure island, bomberman ect

  • @MrRetroGamer96 I sure as hell ain't a sega fanboy, i just never bought into the NES. I like Mario 2 and 3, Zelda 1, and Contra( can't hate on contra). But the NES sucks ass and to me, it always will. I do though, think the gameboy was superior to the GameGear as far as fun goes, even superior to the NES.

  • @ldlrdrllrr aaahhhh, and that is why they sold more NES's then SMS's.

  • @ldlrdrllrr wow you are talking right out of your fucking ass. I grew up with the SMS, but I'm not so blinded by nostalgia to say that NES was a total overrated piece of shit. Objectively, the NES was the better system. Games of the NES: Mario Bros, Punch Out, Contra, Megaman, Metroid, Castlevania, Battletoads, Zelda, River City Ransom, Tetris, Bionic Commando, Final Fantasy. Can you name as many awesome titles for the SMS that made a lasting impact on the industry? Of course you can't so STFU

  • @firebrand12345 well you don't know me so you can shut up bud. I always loved SMS over the NES, and I don't give a shit about lasting impact on the industry; I care about lasting impact on me. The NES never cut it for me, the system itself is a POS! Ya there's 750 US releases but filter out the 80% shit and you get pretty much what you listed.

You got NES fanboy written all over you.

  • @firebrand12345 lol your comment is completely irrelivant to me. Lasting impact on the industry..HAA! Kiss my ass first off all I care about is lasting impact on me and the NES just never did it. SMS is better than NES, so deal with it and to quote you "STFU"

  • @ldlrdrllrr Don't get me wrong, if you read my msg I said I GREW UP with the SMS. which makes me anything but a NES fanboy, if I had a choice between the SMS and the NES I would pick the SMS anyday cause I grew up with it and have a nostaligic tendency towards it. Rambo (sweet 2P), Bubble Bobble (which shat on the NES ver. and also sweet 2P) Wonderboy III Dragons Trap, Alex kid, sonic, shinobi (again dumps the nes ver.), and let's not forget, Phantasy Star..........but let's face it, Sega lost.

  • @ldlrdrllrr

The thing I like most about my SMS compared to my NES is that it actually works without 10 minutes of messing with the carts before the thing will boot.

  • @ldlrdrllrr Sorry, but I don't really believe you got an NES in '85, it was only test marketed in small areas of New York City until a nationwide release in 1986.

  • @ryanredz um no it was november of 85 but thanx for trying

  • @ryanredz um no i got it from my father in november of 85 but nice try

  • @ldlrdrllrr Did you live in New York at the time?

  • @ldlrdrllrr that was so long ago it's easy to mix up years... it could have been 1986 or even 1987 when you got your NES

  • 0.12 That "AWESOME" sounds like he said it at gunpoint.

  • If there is one thing i loved about the SMS, it ALWAYS worked, vs my flakey NES. I remember as a kid dredding the blinking white screen. I remember the cleaner kits that they would sell used alcohol, which the cartridges clearly stated "dont use alcohol!" The SMS to me won in reliability, too bad NES had the GAMES.

  • Where the fuck are they playing these games? At a rave party?

And he says Gotcha when he clearly didn't gotcha. . .The panther got away.

Ahh the 80's. . .thanks for the memories.

  • the guy who did the voice for this commerical did like every other movie trailer and commercial in the 80's! lol..

  • I remember a commercial where they bragged about having over seventy games, and they had a large "70" on the screen while showing all the game boxes like in this clip. I wish to see it again. XD

  • SEGA!challenge your shoe to the ultimate video game!

  • "The ultimate video game!" Haha!!

  • Does anyone ever play video games at home like the kids in these commercials??? ahaha. Or do you just sit and stare, and occasionally get frustrated?

  • of course i play them at home! where else would i play my master system.

  • No, I mean do you play like these kids? Shaking your fist and grinning. Getting all excited and stuff? Acting overboard with your emotions.

  • only when playing the wii with friends.

  • back then, getting a game boy color was like getting a dsi lol

  • Not too far off. More like getting a Game and Watch was like getting a DSi!

  • WHAT THE FUCK?! to deathfromabove5

  • That Kid looks like an old picture of my father.

AND HE HAD A SEGA MASTER SYSTEM!

  • lol ask him ^^

  • My hair would be outdated even by 1987 standards!

  • A friend just informed me it's by Massive Attack - Teardrop.

  • name of ending song please... sounds really familiar

  • should, if you watched the show House on fox even a little bit, you would hear it.

also like urbnrfix said, the name of it is Massive Attack - Teardrop

  • God damn it. The song that begins near the end, what is it? It's REALLY bugging me :/

  • in 2000 i went to toys R us to get a game boy color they showed me the back room they had about 80 nes's and all the games i shit out my pants and he offered to sell them all to me for the price of a gameboy color so they can have room for old sega master systems heck i saw old games

  • Sounds like George Carlin talking!

  • Two? What about that Snail game?

  • i had one until my mum got rid of it now i miss it so bad :(

  • "The challenge will ALWAYS be there" Until 2004 when Sega cocked it up with the Dreamcast.

  • que merdaaaaaa
