  • this is before mel died ithink? she was ill at the time and thats why they are not in the video??? i remember i was in first year of high school 1989/90 when i hear mel appleby had died, me and my friends were devastated.

  • are you making money off of this video?

  • they sound much like bananarama in this song + the chorus sounds so much like sonia's songs specially the "everybody knows album. wierd!!

  • R.I.P. Mel. HI KIM, hope all is well with you

  • RIP Mel. We still love you and miss you. x

My favourite Mel & Kim song! XD

  • i should've been born 10 years earlier!!.....

  • Such a groovy song

  • i was we was back in the 90s i miss old time

  • aww! i used to dance like that.......rip for any sista that dies with cancer esp.a gifted one

  • RIP Mel

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, Who says that all lobsters

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, I put this bitch in the wheel in the corner, but the gap between rich and poor game

  • i agree, people diss the SAW stuff but it sold in the millions. bring back this sound.....

  • I was 18 in the 80ies!

  • @updrafttower you were 18 for 10 years permanently? :D

  • @TomeeDee86 No, I decided to stay 18 forever ;-)

  • such a fucking great song and so true! if more people looked after number one, there wouldnt be so many messed up people in the world. love yourself first!

  • This is actually quite good even in 2011

  • SAW were kind of like the H-D-H of the 80s. They seemed to employ the same backup singers for every artist ("Mae Moore" comes to mind), though they seemed to be REALLY into making ALL their female singers wear "cute hats".

  • Bring back all the songs from the 80's...the songs today suck! can not even compare to the groups of the 80s.....

  • Such a strong song. S.A.W. we're giving Mel and Kim the best of the best songs.

  • i guess that the people just get more stupid every day. how you could not like this music? it is better the same synthetised rythm, base and voice you hear in every club no matter the artist and being brainwashed by lady goo goo or bieber? that was music, this is just noise

  • I always LOVED the dance routine to this!

  • This is actually not bad, neither the song nor the vid. And those girls had in fact good voices. Cannot understand why so many are critical. Had Lady Gaga been around in the 80s, would she had been that much different? Her music is very much 80s Ibiza-ish...

  • @marcN19

big mouth the girls could not be in the video owing to the fact Mel was dying of cancer .

  • they were fantastic

  • @julieann1978

    Its true x

  • r.i.p. mel , sadly missed .

  • It broke my heart when Mel died.

  • UK No.10

  • I have a sad feeling watching this knowing that the reason for the girls not featuring in the video was the severity of Mel Appleby's illness. R.I.P

  • @rtok07 i agree. i wonder what sort of video they would have made if she was able to be in it?

  • The coloured girl, which you seen as a dancer, if you look closely enough she was in many of Janet Jackson's videos of the late 80's/early 90's too

  • A very good come back for Mel and Kim. Though you can hear that this song could be a hit for Kylie or Jason. Showing Out, Respectable and F.L.M. we´re totally different and especially written and produced for Mel and Kim. Still I love this song very, very, very much.

  • there best ever song great post

  • terrible video but the best Mel & Kim song ever released.

  • Great song! So sad that Mel passed away shortly after! Check out a video called "Mel & Kim talk to Terry Wogan" to see Mel's final interview when she was undergoing treatment! It's great to see her looking so positive happy and funny despite what was going on!

  • I´m so sorry for Mel ....

.... but though I have to admit that the lady in the yellow shirt looks pretty good! :D

  • she died because she had a tumour in her spine, unfortunately, the chemo got her first. it weakend her immune system, so she got pneumonia.

  • I LOVE this song but it always makes me feel sad - RIP Mel xXx

  • why arent they in the video??

  • One of them got cancer, look it up on wikipedia.

  • mel died shortly after recording this song with her sister kim.. she died of cancer

  • probably because mel was already sick when the video was shot.

  • thats pretty sick

  • bpb235: Hope u die soon....

  • what is wrong with you?

  • If Mel had lived they would have been so massive.

  • @street14rogers; You know? we all were saying the exaact same thing over 20 years ago. Such a shame Mel away so soon. There sisters were and amazing act.

  • pete waterman did have something to do with even if by andy abraham pete is also trying to get kylie minogue back to pwl kylie said she would if rick astley and jason donovan went back too however they have both said NO!

  • just fabulous dance track

  • I could listen to this brilliant Stock, Aitken and Waterman stuff all day long. I just wish this music could come back in the charts today. And bring back Top of the Pops with it as well!

  • @djr301074

    Good old days...

  • Very good song. I love the b-side 'You change my life' also very much. Written by the girls with S.A.W.

  • Its so sad Mel died and they didnt get to make a proper video for this, cos i'm kinda sick of these SAW dancers and sets they used for kylie, rick astley, sonia and several others from this period

  • Not my mother lenguaje, but i can read english, can anyone type the lyrics for those like me that just love the song ? there's not in any webpage.

  • unfortunately now we must say that's the wayit used to be!I miss this awsome kind of dance music

  • these two girls really fitted the s.a.w. sound perfectly, great work they did together, happy feel good music, brings back lovely memories of the 80s

  • Cheesy 80 dancers but a wickedly cool sister Duo!

  • i love their stuff, its a really shame and a tragify that mell passes agreat loss of a talent

  • i loooove stock aitken waterman.... hey pwl and saw let the party begin....again

  • a nice reminder of the 80's!

  • i have the cd single and the 12inch single of this, both have 'im the one who really loves you' as a 2nd track but the version on the vinyl is much better than the version on the cd. the sleeves both have an awesome pic of the girls

  • Great track. Great girls. Great producers.

  • bless you mel i remember you oh o well i loved and still love your work get fresh at the weekend GOD BLESS YOUU MEL APPLEBY

  • Nice sound I miss the 80's and the UK

    Mr. Chips in Columbia SC

  • You might want to check out "Andy Abraham Even If".

That is this year's UK entry into the Europe wide Eurovision song contest.

It has a similar feel to S/A/W like this, in fact i suspect Pete Waterman had something to do with it.

  • Man it's been a long time...I remember when Downtown Julie Brown won it when I was in East Anglia in 1980 me and my friend were going to enter it 2 american blokes he did Pop Lockin and i did the BOP somthin from my Virginia days

  • The best song that they did, i loved Mel and Kim. Thanks for the memories girls xx

  • I loved this song thanks!

  • The video is great. Cheesy 80's, cute and energetic - pure Stock Aitken Waterman, but it isn't Mel & Kim. Bet the video stopped this single doin better on the charts.

Imagine a parallel Universe where Mel lived on...they dump Stock et al and sign up with Deconstruction Records circa 93 and pump out some awesome techno tainted trax.

Their songs are great material for some scorching hardhouse interpretations ;)

  • the guy at the begining im mates with his son in real life hes a jker

    take it easy

  • whats he up to nowadays ?

  • I Like The other version where you see glimpse of them in a collage of their video and live perfomances i want it so bad..anyone

  • Yes i have that version, just having problems getting it on you tube!

  • I've uploaded the version featuring footage of Mel & Kim.

  • This is a great song! So sad about Mel. Such a lovely girl and so full of life. There is tears in the eyes of Pete Waterman (Their Producer) anytime her name is mentioned. Such a sad loss. RIP Mel x

  • I love the song, remember it being on the radio. I am sure the song would have done better if Mel had been able to get out and help promote it, it's their best after Respectable. It's so sad how things turn out.

  • It's werid cos that must be their dancers and they musted have wanted to say, that was there last song together. Must have been tough 4 kim.

  • lol i woudent say it was that bad im sure it could have been worse

  • its a so so sad watching this i have this video in my collection but its sad coz mel or kim could not do it....as she was just to ill ...rip mel x

  • this vid was made because mel already was sick... :( so they couln't make a new video themselves

  • What a fantastic track... but TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE video. I heard that this vid featured archival footage of M&K's other vids as the illness had taken ahold by now. But this is worse than I thought. Such a shame - talented girls, and a wicked track.

  • Agreed! I like the song but i believe they could have done much better with the vid.
