in summer 1983 my dad died on a holiday in italy. the greatest hit at that time was "foreign affair".

anytime i hear the song, i remember the great time with my dad shortly before he died.

it causes me an awful lot of tears any time listening to the song but it`s also a kind of being close to my dad, especially in times i wished he was with me.

dad entered a new territory at that time.....

I first heard this song from a jukebox at a heavy metal bar in Berlin, Germany sometime around 2000-2001. After years of trying to find it, I just now did so. I used to hang out there with a few guys from Moldova, who were there illegally just trying to find work. They loved hearing stories about "The States". Most of us really don't know just how good we got it here. It should be required for every person to spend at least one year traveling through Europe. Germany loves our metal rock.
