  • Would you be able to make really small diameter knitting needles with this? I know nothing about woodworking, excuse my ignorance

  • man you are the man. found me a singer orsom motor im gonna make the lathe

    thanks to you!!!!!!!!!! fat idea

  • Very clever use and reuse of materials. I also love your "fun for the whole family" statement. It gave me a chuckle.

    Nice work!

Ignore the negative comments. The people that post them are just jealous of you and angry because they have no creativity.

  • where did you get the motor from, and how much did it cost?

  • Could you make the metal shaping things out of glass or something or do you have to buy it? If so, how much are they?

  • beautifu work,i checked your block saw your micro rifle(powerful stuff its giving me alotta ideas)...answer this. Can that motor produce a baseball bat? seeing that its small could it handle a baseball bat size blank????

  • @mrkhristoff

Thanks, I'm glad you like my projects!

This motor would not be able to turn a baseball bat. You could certainly find a larger motor and make a baseball bat-lathe, though.

  • @pyroneph what a shame:(:(:( i was hoping it could

  • @mrkhristoff

It depends on how big of a bat you need!

  • What tool are you using there?

  • THIS is STUPID

  • Could you post the model number of the motor you used?

  • @cerealdude64

I'm really sorry but I don't have the motor anymore.

  • DUDE Ty tytytytytytytytytytytyty i just have 1 question how can i put wood on without the ratchet gthingy

  • Hey man good video loved it....Can you suggest any way to move the tailstock horizontally so that we can accommodate long work pieces??....like using bearings under it or a hand wheel or something?

  • thanks bro. i just so happen to have a load of older sewing machines in the back of my car at the moment

  • @nickpelkey like... WHO DOESN'T!!!

  • lol you're funny as shit. I want a motor on a stick!

  • cool!! I have the same motor and pedal...

  • A very useful machine for small batches and one offs in wood. Really nice effort.

  • nice & nice

  • nice one buds!

  • Nice video. I like the dead center idea. I made a live center for my micro lathe and sometimes it squeaks. I have uploaded a video.

  • Genius!

  • cool idea...!!superb !!

  • Cool where do you get those kinda nut with no thread at the tip? Did you grind the thread out?

  • @ujayet Yeah, I ground it myself.

  • motor on a stick...lol hahaha..good

  • This thing is amazing well done :D

  • @bnk96

    Thanks!

  • Alright we get it!

Are you making a chess piece or something?

  • @PyroRul3s

I have no idea why my comment was duplicate a thousand times...I'm going to try to remove them XD

Anyway, I was just making a cool looking thing. Not anything specific...really just a demonstration.

  • Now that was too cool, how did you make the drive for loss of a better word (socket ) turn without a wobble? was the motor shaft squared etc... very cool!! You should mass produce this thing I am sure you would get buyers! Joseph T fly2000jtb

  • I might use the same idea to make a bigger one with a electric scooter motor.

  • is that a chess piece

  • great video but should be more specific like what kind of sewing motor and epoxy

  • @pks7777777

The motor is an old Kenmore. The epoxy is just JB Weld. Any sewing machine motor and any epoxy would work fine.

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, you are a genius :D Thank you so much.

  • @sgknexmaker

Yes, it is an electric sewing machine motor.
