the knife are interested in sexual anonymity, they've said it in interviews; it's clear in the voice disguises as well. i guess because even an exposure of gender can have an adverse effect on your art (look at sexy pop stars for example), if, like the knife might be, you want to create something devoid of sex but "full of art", rather than full of sex whilst being devoid of art like Shakira, Justin Timberlake... etc etc etc...
