Noobs, this is BMW E34 525i. What 8 cylinder are you talking about?!
This is straight 6 170hp 2.5 litre engine.
This engine is the best combination for consumption, power and torque for the 325i E30 coupe.
In the E34 it does quite well, but 535 and off course 540i are way better.
This guys does nothing more than burnouts and donuts.
The Drift is what is worth to be done ....
Here comes the conclusion . 2.5 engine is not powerful enough for E34 when we talk about drifting. We need at least 535i

I think you can do that with a 525i is it's a 24v without cat , with inox headers , and chip...
You are are 100% right , a stock 525i is slow.

mine stop doin burnouts when i lowered it and put bbs rims and fatter low profile tires.. a 525i ain't quick but i still love mine ..!
