@HellsHittman HellsHittman I agree with you, there's no way not to. My opinion is just that this is a game is something that people do for fun. In this video, I got the feeling that some people may have the idea that high fps will be OK in EVERY situation , CQB included.

You seem to a be a respectful and wise player, so you probably know that in some countries, where the fps are limited by law, snipers exist too. In those places, sniping becomes different.

@HellsHittman Where i live, the fps have been limited to 374FPS = 1.3 Joules, because a test revealed that human skin will tear apart with energies exceeding this energy, 1.33J to be exact ;)

We do not agree with this law, but we play airsoft, so, we must be within that limit.

I've also played with people with 520 fps snipers and never got hurt more than usual, why ? Due to the respect that players that hold those guns had.

Is it OK to play with 500 fps? Yes, with responsibility.

While this gun is very cool, I kind of question the point of having it shooting that hot. I'm not aware of any field that would allow it to be used in a game. I love playing airsoft with friends to help us train combat teams for the military (bunch of us plan on joining marines) we split into squads and rescue hostages, fake ambushes, etc. I can't stand bipods on any guns besides snipers though. only thing i dislike about that gun. and the sniper scope. Unless you use it as a sniper in semi auto. really nice

@TAS801 Well in the Uk the limits for aegs are 350fps and for sniper 400. 450 for gas guns. But high fps isnt really necessary when you have a decent hop up unit and a good barrel.

@TAS801 the highest fps we have in the uk is 450. Tbh i think its better to have lower fps limits- when you get hit you want to feel it but not walk of sight with the bruises still hurting... A airsoft gun running at 500 fps could break exposed skin also- not fun.

@TAS801 You can use 500fps BA rifles on most sites, some allow Semi auto up to 450-500.

You don't need a special license, it's just the same rules as owning any other airsoft rif, but obviously a lot more common sense is needed. There are minimum engagement distances, and some sites won't allow you to use high powered rifles if your not a regular there.

Hey Ajax. I upgraded my m14 with all new airseal parts and gears, the spring I use is a pdi170. Could you check out my video and tell me what you think? I listed the parts and intalled them myself. I was just wondering what spring you would suggest running with stock a stock gearset. Its stock ratio but they are guarder steel gears. I want it to shoot like 450-500 fps. Its a stock CYMA gearbox.
