My iPhone 4, which I returned to Orange UK, would LOSE calls buy just holding it NORMALLY in my left hand. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S and have never lost a call by holding it NORMALLY. If you wrap your hand right around the lower part of the Galaxy S you will lose some signal, but I have not lost a single call using it normally. I DID with the iPhone4 which is why I spent 4 weeks fighting with Orange to take it back.

Touching the antennas isn't going to stop you from taking pictures or reading an ebook and clearly touching it that way worked for Steve Jobs, seeing as he was doing a demonstration. A lot of the times you buzzed in, they weren't even touching anywhere NEAR the 'no touch zone'. Did you even look at the clips you were using?

@bodypainter99 The problem is not in "bridging" antennas. Lay the iphone on the table and "bridge" the antennas - no problem. Or hold the phone with two fingers bridging the antennas - no problem. Only when you cover the left bottom part you experience a signal strength drop. Now, it depends on how weak is the signal. If the signal is very weak - yes, you can get "No Service" message. This happened to me on my previous phones including Nokia, Motorola, Ericcson and so forth. Every phone has it.

@bodypainter99 I have an old-school dumb cell phone from LG and if I wrap my hand around it I can drop it from 5 to 2 bars. Any receiver will get less signal if you block the antenna. Does the iPhone drop your calls? No? Then what's the problem? Just don't look at the bars and enjoy your phone.

I must say I am in love the phone is great the features are great the upgraded OS is awesome the only complaint is that I lost some apps and had to reinstall others but that may be a user issue not an iPhone issue lol. I may have not done the back up correctly.  Over all the forward facing camera and the resolution is awesome not to mention every other aspect of the phone it is all awesome. As for the bad reception, haven't experienced it
