  • @freezazoid 16mm Black-and-white film camera.

  • i really like the terrible look to this... it looks like 1960's. Does anyone know what this was shot on?

  • @freezazoid More like 1930s-40s. Can't say for sure on what camera, but it's an old 16 mm one.

  • Small world, big internet. Rowland was one grade below me. We both went to WHS. It's been too many years since I have spoken to them. Ah the memories of times long gone.

  • I used to live next door to Rowland and lived with Quentin and Stevo in '87-'88. I remember seeing this before anyone knew about it. I'm trying to get back in touch with Rowland. No luck yet though.

  • I knew these guys going WAY back. Stevo and I went to high school together at THS in the 70s and acted together over 10 years before this. Stevo and I were also Han Solo and Lukeskywalker in the Disneyland Main Street Parade in the late 70s. (He was Han I was luke)

  • he shared at comic con that he worked for 3 years on this and it ended up as waste

  • LOL

  • Thank you for posting this clip. I've always heard of this film and was always curious about seeing the surviving footage. Man, this would have made such a great full feature film if it didn't get caught on fire! Awesome stuff. Tarantino rocks my socks off.

  • Sounds good (since I recorded it) but whats up with the sync? Not my fault!!!!

  • That's a YouTube problem. Videos will, sometimes, go in and out of sync.

What do you mean, "I recorded it"? Were you the sound guy on the movie?

  • Yes. Way back in the day when it was 5 young filmmakers working together to make a short film, until one of us convinced Quentin to make it into a feature.

  • WOW! That's fucking amazing.

What do you do now? Do you still work on movies and such?

  • Dov is one cool dude! He's just wrapping up editing on a feature film about original comic book characters! I've used him for many of my film projects and would urge others to do the same!

    Best wishes,

    Alan

  • he is never been a good actor.

  • I think the roles he writes for himself are pretty damn funny.

  • This is great, he never disappoints me.

  • oh yes! TARANTINO STYLE >:}

  • That receptionist, Nutmeg, rocks! And check out that groovy pumpkin shirt he's wearing!

  • I looked forward to seeing this scene again. Very funny.

  • Its a shame the finished movie was burned.

  • Yeah, apparently it just caught on fire in the projection machine (if I remember correctly). Too bad.
