im planning on mixing in some mercenaries

thanks for convincing me to play ^^

  • In mk2 do they stil come with rule books?

  • "check it oot" lol you canadians :P

  • arent there like Elf-jacks now?

  • where can i get war machine m

  • Kay-door. Kaaaaay-doooor.

  • This video should have more views, I went from having never played warmachine, to watching this and buying a cryx battlebox forces of war book and prime 2 book. Half a year later I have more than 85 models spanning over 3 different armies, token sets, measuring templates, and it all started from seeing this video.

  • nice terrain,

    legend tim

  • warmachine is a game that you will get your ass kicked hard and often, i played sens september and its now i start to win a game or to. in warhammer you have 2 or 3 über units that will win you the game, in warmachine everything is overpowerd, that small unit of guards can take down a heavy meck and vice versa. its a great game but if your new you will get your ass kicked,

  • More sales plz

  • @weemadaza Ebay is cheaper. Believe me. Buying a battlegroup costs around $50 + shipping from Privateer Press. Ebay, it is around $35 in total. You save a at least $10.

    HV

  • dude, if you are not a shopowner, you need to be - this is one of the best sales pitches I have seen for this game. Nice job!

  • I dont know if i should start with this or Warhammer T-T im confuzled

  • @PerkyStudio1

Im a 40k fan, but I think Warmachine looks pretty cool too.

But I would say 40k. But then again, thats just my oppinion. Try to watch some games or perhaps find a club and borrow some modells and try a few games in them both.

  • @PerkyStudio1 if you want a small manageable army go for warmachine, if you want a big powerful army go for Warhammer

  • @ fletch0307

NO LTR, no one plays them anymore. Or more so, very few people play it anymore. Not to mention this is why there is SO much of LTR products left over. It had it's hype back in the day and generally was a great product to be sold. But it slowed down in sales and nearly stopped. Which is why now, whenever a business sells Games Workshop products, they're required to have $10,000.00 worth of product to be sold, a requirement is for part of the 10k to be the overstock LTR product

  • does anyone know if the khador battlegroup on the privateer press online store is the mark ii version? i saw the mark ii under warcasters and it contains the new jacks just not sure what im gettin with the store version

  • why doesnt retribution have their own battlebox ?? :(

  • @JoeyWarhammerFreak 2-4 robots(unassembled), dependig on the faction,1(unassebled) warcaster, cards for each of these models, and a sheet with the basic rules. You can check the privateerpress site and in the gallery, under "warcasters" you will see the contents of each battle box, as they look assembled and painted.

  • what war- gaming is most popular becuse i don't are rich and want speend so mutch on this war gaming so i will only play one system so what is most popular ( im in sweden)

  • @Asken96 That would be warhammer 40k. Even my country has clubs for that, although almost nobody has heard of these type of games.

  • @Asken96 i would say warhammer 40k or warhammer maybe lord of the rings

  • i dont under stand warmachine at all....

  • I have a strong core of Khador, but I use a lot of mercs as well. It fits my play style like a glove :)

  • WHOOOOOOO KHADOR FTW!!!!!!!

  • Pirates/Mercs FTW factions are stupid and Merc players don't argue as much on the forums as the faction players

  • Definitely not!

  • are they pre-painted?

  • no they aren't =( but you can get the paints for them on amazon from 14.99 to 12.99 not including shipping

  • ebay is where I get it from

  • it was made int he UK. so yes.

  • actually privateer press is based in Seattle washington

  • The models that come in battlegroup box, are they metal?

  • @karlotikas

Yes I think they are all metal models and this coming year some of the war machines will be plastic.

  • yeah i play mercs and they dont have the plastic warjack kit

  • @karlotikas Yes they are metal in all battlebox's. There are only a few newer figures in the warmachine range which are plastic.

  • Yeah.. Warmachine and Hordes is a shweet game!

...except I don't really like Khador, I prefer Cygnar.

  • how shoud i start.

  • buy a battle group just did buy a khador battle group epic warmaster sorscha and another warjack plus a mech cheif and three mech assistances for christmas!!

  • thanks i will look in to those.

  • can you have two warcasters?

  • cool i like the idea of some guy controling massive robots

  • o wow this vid made me want to play warmachine....too bad no one can play with me

  • that's the same with me. i like the look of this, but no one near me plays it

  • do u have to paint them

  • yes

  • yes

  • yes but thats one of the reasons its so fun... a lot of people paint ther own paint scheme!

  • where can i buy some warmachine...?

  • local game store or online

  • the net.

  • awesome! it seems to be a steampunk game!

  • oh the heinous indecision! Should I go Warhammer 40k?! Or should I go Warmachine/Hordes?!

This video adds a point to my Warmachine list. I'm new to Wargaming and want to get into something good. Looks like I'll never be able to make up my mind...

  • if you want a small skirmish and cheap game go warmachine/hordes(dont worry they're both compatible you can play a hordes army against a warmachine army and vice versa)

if you want all out war warhammer 40k

  • oh the pain and inhumanity of indecision! I want a small skirmish and cheap game AND all out war! I cant decide! T_T

  • you CAN go for both but youll start out with small pointage first get a battle box for warmachine/hordes and a battleforce or an aobr set(if your going orks or sm) you ll have around 350? points for warmachine/hordes and 500 points in warhammer

  • I'm a poor kid from Africa dude! I cant do that! Currently I think I'll buy Warhammer models and see if I can use Warmachine rules with them coz I hear they're better. (Warhammer 40k seems to be just a big dice throwing contest) Hopefully then I get the best of both worlds.

  • dont worry if you commit to miniature wargaming it'll just feel like you have alot of time trust me

  • and a lot of money?

  • warhammer fantasy batle

  • i could tell u were canadian by the way u said ago

  • What about when he said oUt

  • Shame shame! Your displaying khador and no mention of our Fuzzy hats of power or our mighty axes of doom!

  • do they come painted or can you paint them?

  • You have to paint and assemble and base them.. but its lots of fun! i already have a 700 pts army wich is growing.

  • Not to mention that privateer press is based in North America here in the good old USofA making them alot easier to deal with than the Brits of Games-Workshop across the pond.

  • Tim's 35 years old, wow he looks good for his age.. I would've guessed late 20's

  • I'm inspired, I'm asking for a Cygnar for my birthday

  • instead of putting karma points u should have put brownie points

  • after reading about this game for awhile this vid has finally inspired me to pick it up. Are bane knights any good, they look amazing?!?!?!

  • They are a little too good right now.

JAcks are nearly useledd right now, but with the new version coming up soon that isgoing to change.

Bile Thralls are borderline broken right now, so they are going to get a huge nerf when MKII comes out next year.

  • Bile thralls aernt really getting nerfed as much as they are getting a price increase. They are still going to be perfect for raping troops.

  • how many points is your army

  • im not wxactly sure because i just started 40k but this looks awesome too :P :[

  • for $60 i could play warmachine and i really want to but for $60 i could geta lot of 40k stuff.

  • in other words, u can get an army for warmachine for 60 bucks, or you can get a a big box or 2 squad boxes for 40k, go for warmachine dude, it is awesome, but i dont know alot about it, i only played one game with my friend and i dont know rules, they tryed to show me

  • Go for warmachine dude. You get a whole army instead of like a tank and a blister.

  • for 40k you could get 2 piece of shit looking models or you can get alot of AWESOME looking models

  • Yeah but most people won't play you unless you have a huge Army in 40K.

Warmachine is the better "game" in that aspect.

I do like how WarHammer 40K Eldar look though....

It's just a matter of cost for me. Warmachine is cheaper and has more straightforward rules.

  • i think fireman tim should have his own youtube channel all in favor please say so as a reply

  • @phatmonk6195 or at least make more vids

  • are they plastic or metel, or both

  • all jacks and casters are metal..

i would buy 2 devastors and a marauder.. beast 09 is a complete beast! get one and get used to winning :) also behemonth is super usefull! he can run and bombard enemy! he might be the best range combat model on khador! get the big behemont! also berzerkers seem nice!

  • i want to play this game real bad, but i want to know, what size army would i get for about 100 bucks, a small army, a standard army, or a large take your pick army. also, what is the most competetive army and the most competetive pieces for it

  • for 100 bucks you could get a starter box and paint and rulebook and extra units if you know how to search for the right shop!.. try wargames workshop when its back from its maintenance.. everything is 10% cheaper also the battle group box is only 30-37 pounds. when it comes back from the maintenance ill go order my khador army.. and competetive army? well depends what gamestyle do you like? heavy on spells? heavy on ranged? or heavy on melee? then get the opposite for a challenge :P

  • i like cryx and khador, probably khador since it uses alot of warjacks and are sooooooo awesome. i have my own paints, so what other than a battle box for khador should i get for it to be competetive

  • way is the Apocalypse Gaming Board behaind you

  • well sounds good. I think I might get it when that sale comes along.

  • what is the best army if i want warjacks only? i hate painting small models but then again is it a good idea? what race haves the toughest warjacks?

  • khador khador khador khador khador khador khador khador khador khador khador khador

they dont have ANY light 'jacks and the khadorian jacks are frikkn tough!

  • so khador it is :P anyway i liked khador the most :) im a starter.. should i buy a warcaster and 4 warjacks?

  • hell i dont know anything about warmachine 'cept that khador are warjack heavy... i guess just get the box, the prime remix book, and another caster maybe.

  • Actually, just get the battle box, buy a rule book if you want the fluff, and a solo not really another warcaster until you hit 750 points.

  • well, i say to get another caster, because while not necessary to play, it does make the game different with each caster, so that with minimal cost, you get a different playstyle.

  • Thats is true as well but if you want to expand your army then another caster isn't that good.

  • i have researched the game extensivly and i believe that khador uses the best warjacks because they are "heavy jacks" but cryx is a horde army and have lots of war beasts and warjacks, but i know that khador comes with the least warjacks in its box

  • Khadoe doesnt have the "Best" jacks, they are just huge and stong but very slow and easy to hit

  • when did games workshop sell Warmachine?

    isn't it a rival game?

  • Gamesworkshop doesn't sell it, but war gaming stores sell all different types of war games regardless of company.

  • nah

    no sprues either

  • They are Canadian ....

  • they can move, you know.

  • Do they come painted?

  • nope

  • i'm sure you could buy them prepainted from a thrid-party. but they ARE models, which are meant to be assembled and painted.

  • cool how much is it

  • A army box cost $50 and they all have around 300 points in them

  • I started playing Warmachine last summer. I'm currently playing Cryx but I've started to tinker with Cygnar. The game is awesome. There's so many things to consider while playing, so many choices, where to allocate focus, how to position my arc nodes (I use Denegra) etc etc. Its deep and rich. Lots to think about and reflect upon after each game. I learn something new every time I play.

  • Not a gandalf wizard! XD

  • this looks realy cool

  • games workshop increasing their prices........WHAT ELSE IS NEW! this is so shit

  • Thank you for introducing War Machine into your videos!

It's such an unrecognized gaming jewel.

  • hehe, i pronounce it "Kah-door" sounds more pleasant to the ears :P

  • I agree. Kah-door sound nicer than Kay-door.

  • Dang, your lucky to have the cash to start war machine. just for 2 starter sets is like 70 bucks!

  • how much GB£ does one of the box cost?

  • £33.00

  • but thats without discount

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • *thumbs up* ;)

  • i like the i dear of the undead

  • Do you need to paint these?

  • yeah, and assemble too. I think

  • Yes

  • does the sale count for warmachien?

  • are those hard to paint? im not a great painter, so i am not sure if i could paint them... (i painted some warhammer 40k, but ive only been painting for like 3 weeks)

could i paint those and not screw them up?

  • I believe thy come painted

  • no, they dont, because they sell paints labled for the specific armies, like khador colors p3 paint box set, etc

  • oh, I'm sorry lol. Shows you how much I know about the game

  • I've ben meaning to get started in warmachine...just can't find another player in my area and my new IG regiment won't build itself

  • Looks like great fun, bought myself a Khador box just now to try it out :D

  • Are there any other good 40k/warmachine alternatives that aren't too expensive? I just want to know before I get into warmachine.

  • There's At-43. the armies are prebuilt and prepainted.

  • man thats the awsome thing with it.

would be great if w40k was like that but I guess a big part of the game is to build and paint.

  • YES!!!! It's about time you guys!!! Warmachine and Hordes are both great games and are able to be played against each other. I am soooo happy to see you guys have finally taken on the game of Warmachine and hope that it does well with you guys. :)

  • POST A PAINTING TUTORIAL FOR KHADOR! sorry for caps, i was just exited, but please! post a vid on how to paint khador, because i am getting like 4 boxes for my wargaming club.... PLEEZ!

  • Don't they come painted?

  • No, they are metal miniatures that come unpainted and unassembled.

  • ive never seen any where that sells it apart from cyprus

  • I've only seen two people at my local games shop play Warmachine. I would give it a look but I already bought a ton of 40K stuff to work on.

  • How many points worth is the khador battlebox? there is a free play at my local club and im wondering if it would be worthwhile to buy one

  • All 4 of the boxes are worth about 300 pts

  • i would start playing warmachine or hordes, it sounds great, but i live in austria and they don't sell it here

  • I love all the 40k fanboys who immediately shit all over something that they haven't even tried. Give the game a chance. There is a whole world out there beyond 40k....sorry to let you guys know.

  • im a 40k fanboy and i looked into warmachine and it looks awesome! im gonna get the khador battlebox

  • there is pirates!

  • Warmachine looks cool, and would be a great alternative to 40k. I'll let my friends know.

  • Can you use like wizards towers for sale at terrain scapes, and things like that? there are some cool castle towers that i wanna get.

  • I have no idea. I haven't tried it yet, but I will look into it.

  • TIM thanks for the video me and my bud from newfoundland are building our armys orks and a black templar..and from seeing this my bud has got his MIND ON TROLLBLOODS

  • do you get to paint them???

  • yeah

  • Yes but of course

  • The system is more fluid, you can boost the to hit roll or damage for those really important rolls. Rules are pretty simple, all special rules are on the cards for each unit, you need the main rule book and then each unit comes with the cards, nothing else needed. Each warcaster changes how your army plays, different spells, feats etc. Bacchus!

  • Hi Tim.

P.S. I'm definitely getting warmachine stuff

  • HERETIC! Nothing is better than 40K!

  • I can't really get into Warmachine or Hordes, but I have noticed that the local community is growing for the two games.

  • how come none of the miniwargaming crew plays LOTR?

  • cos LOTR sucks? just kiddin but no-one I know plays LOTR

  • its based on the iron kingdoms for dungeons and dragons.

  • What about us Brit's. I'd love to play Warmachine and Hordes but to my knowledge they're not that easily available over here. Great vid' all the same.

  • Khador has been pronouced in so many different ways it's funny. Ka-door is my way.

  • Sounds a bit Steampunk-ish

  • B...b...better then warhammer!?!?111

  • Warmachine is cool. I used to play Khador when Warmachine first came out. It really is a great game!!!

  • Is it by GW?

  • no its by a company named privateer press

  • I really like the game and models, but sometimes I think the models look really similar, like in this vid the destroyer and the juggernaut look almost the same. I think when they come out with plastics there will be more variety.

  • Warmachine is cool, but I personally love Hordes. The Trollbloods are awesome.

  • I'm so happy!!! *sob*

  • just more ways to earn money for mwg

  • The MK II is coming out in 2010 and guess what with it,

Plastic Models are replacing the metal figures. Actually Warmachine can be a little more expensive, cos of the quarterly new models that you need to get so you can update your army list with the lastest playing methods, whereby 40k needs you to buy the whole army to start for a very long b4 the next codex. Usual game for warmachines and hordes goes by 500 pts, 750 pts or 1000pts if you wanna a longer game with epic warcastors or warlords.

  • Warhammer40k is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it might be better but it is ALOT more money and warmachine is just more of a resonable price

  • =D MUST BUY WARMACHINE ARMY SO COOL

  • I was just wondering when MWG would start with Warmachine
