im going to get this phone as a temp phone untill october 2011 when my cap ends here in Australia on Vodafone.
Is it easy to text on seeing that it has a smaller 3.2" screen size and also the fact that I have bigger thumbs makes it even more trickier. Also, if anyone is using Android 2.2 froyo on it, is it any laggier with the new update of android seeing that it was built to be running android 2.1 eclair?

@BehindTheLight99 no on the tilt 2, which i believe is the htc touch pro 2, is windows 6.5 and uses htc touchflo3D if i am correct, or if it is called HTC sense, it is different as on different operation system.
Fantastic reviews, have enjoyed all of the Android one's - I am about to order an HTC Desire sim free, so your video's have helped me, you have shown more detail than most other reviews so well done indeed.
I'm a die-hard Apple fanboy but this is truly impressive and makes the iPhone look mickey-mouse. How would one sync content though between this device and a Mac?
@SubSonicMortal plug the usb and you have a drive for your pics/music etc.. if you want to synch your contacts you can do it with your google account or the htc sync software. i prefer google for that. cheers
@SubSonicMortal Funny, you have nothing to do with iPhone. This phone is worse than few other HTC phones. Even these good HTC phones were beaten by the iPhone too. Check the top chart on CNET.com for example.
@Shinkowawa i dont care what your charts say i owned a iphone before they were even in canada and upgraded my iphone several times and sold my 3G for a legend and am glade i did it android pwns IOS anyday
I would like to by these phone but I don't know how long battery last?
I lisening music a lot, an I heard that battery for htc tattoo last just 4-5 ours :/
Is battery of lagend any bether than tatoo htc???
Is enithing bad whit these type of phone? I know that it is beautiful and expensive and that it has so much but every phone have some weakness, which one is here???
please help: I can not decide between (i know: two totally deferent phones) nokia E72 & HTC Legend
@smiley2407 People say that the battery is powerful enough for the LEgend ... with "normal use" the battery lasts up to 2 days ... it always depens on how much you use the display ... with music i think the battery will last 1-2 days, depending on which other features you user
Android does real multitasking. All applications continue running in the background, so it's not like iPhone OS at all.
When you're an your home screen and you tap and hold the home button for half a second, than you're showed recently launched apps that you can choose from there.
When your RAM is full of running apps and you want to open a new app (for example one, that needs a lot of memory) than android will shut down not needed apps to clear some RAM for the new application. So theoretical your phont won't lag because of a full RAM.
A few days ago I heard, that when you close an app by pressing the "back" button, then the app will really be closed. But I'm not sure if this is true.
Thank you very much, Stossbalt. Your question enlightened me in some way :) I just really love the way Symbian deals with multitasking - easy and handy. And I would really miss it on android.
hiding your serial number or anything with that is useless. you can just turn off those screens. sorry m8

@C00LD0CT0R No, but you can navigate through text with the optical trackball. I think it's very handy.

htc sense is really great! though i'm an iphone user for 4 years, i have to say htc really nailed personalization on a mobile phone.

Having used a 2nd gen iPhone for 3 years, this just freaking rocks. IOS is old, and outdated..no social networking integrated. Android ftw.

If you in the Home screen... "PINCH OUT" instead of twice pressing home. Does the same.

Thank you! really nice review. Always wanted to ask how does the multitasking work within the Android system? Or it's similar to the iPhone OS?
PS Waiting for the HTC Desire review :)
