Evil bitch got her bf to kill her dad, because he wouldn't let her use his credit cards -- and supplied the bf with the weapon (baseball bat) and a change of clothes to hide evidence.
@NemesisRev9 hey DUMB ASS...i've seen her story a million times on TV in the USA...go live in fucking Germany...fucking thanking Germans!...Germany!???? p-lease!
I FUCKING HATE these fucking foreigners who come her to do documentaries for their government owned TV stations to show how bad and mean the USA is..".look Germans..they do wrongful imprisonment tooo"...bullshit!! She would of got a candy bar and 4 months in Germany. fucking Europe gives serial killers 6 fucking years....FUCK these mother fuckers!
America's justice system provides justice for victims. Here in Australia she would have gotten 20 years and been out in 10 because of the idiotic leniency of judges here. She deserves what she got.
@StinkyKnobcheese It's always fair to weigh in the aggravated factors that resulted in the murder, the remorse factor, etc to sentence someone. I don't think she deserved what she got. She was allegedly abused by her father... or something triggered her into killing her FATHER... it has to be something big.
@StinkyKnobcheese THANK YOUUUUU!!!!! We HATE how lenient Europe is on murder!! Let her be paroled to a Germans house if they feel so bad for her...they always want murderers out but wouldn't let them stay at THEIR house...
@StinkyKnobcheese If the priority is building a better society, then shorter sentences are often warranted and the focus should be rehab. If the priority is vengeance, then lock the fuckers up and throw away the key! 10 years is a large chunk of life. The US has extreme sentences in many cases, and having the world's highest imprisonment rate still doesn't make it especially safe. Just politicians acting "tough on crime" in the only way their small minds can devise.
Absolute hogwash. There are currently half a dozen court-related shows on American television (including a dedicated court tv channel), and at least that many prison-related shows. Having lived in Germany for many years, I can say with certainty that country has nothing similar in numbers or depth. Actually, when there are such shows on German television, they're most often focused on the USA in a critical manner. Like you, Germans seemingly love to criticize the USA.
The 15 year-old Courtney conspired with her 21 year-old boyfriend, on probation for car theft, to murder her father who disapproved of the relationship. She provided the weapon used and facilitated access to the house. Both were later convicted of first-degree murder and each sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
Was it really neccessary to post this for an English audience? If can hear about the first few seconds of what she says then the German guy speaks over her.
@mnkatzenfruend Betroffen? Egal was dein halbgebackener Philosophielehrer sagt.
She has a german name - could ask for german citizenship, where teens get max. 10 years sentence. If she was raped by her father it wont be more than 3 or 4 years here.
I like the bleeding heart videos for poor children sentenced to life in prison for committing murder at young ages. Where are the videos of the gruesome murders they committed, the videos of the blood, bullet wounds, knife wounds. Courtney wants fucking tho!
Also, her state (Florida) carries a mandatory life sentence if convicted of first degree murder... guess she should have done her research while she was planning the murder of her own father.
I'm sorry, but has anyone who thinks "she's cute" and has been treated too harshly and deserves to be released someday bothered to actually look into her case? This "cute" little girl beat her own FATHER to death with a freaking baseball bat for no other reason than he was trying to be her father! And in court this girl was full of smiles and laughter, even as she approached the podium after being convicted , to admit she beat his head in all by herself. She is exactly where she belongs.
@Luvleynic in the news report they just said that she asked her boyfriend to help kill her father cause he was raping her over and over again .. im german / american so i understood what they were saying .. but maybe ur right ive never heard of this case before .. so therefor i cannot judge
@mamaniki1987 All I heard was that she killed her dad because he didnt want her to use his credit cards online, and he didnt aprove of her relationship with her boyfriend.
In fact she's lucky she was only 16. Had she been 18 and the state would have asked for the death penalty.
@Khultan People who were given life sentences in the 30s were released in the late 60s early 70s. In the 80s and later there has been a set-back, neo-conservatism or whatever, but since America is a modern, western country in many ways they will eventually mature, develop like other modern countries and get rid of things like the medieval punishment and so on. Become more european like, more modern and liberal again. Incararating teenagers for life is medieval or Saudi-Arabia like. That's it.: )
@winterstellar ....That's a gross speculative theory you have that is, essentially, useless. In November 1994, in the state of California during the Gov. Pete Wilson administration, the majority of people seem to have been conned into voting for the 3 strikes law, who did not really understand it's actual power. Offenders comitting petty crimes would be convicted for 25 years to life in prison. You do know that the 3 strikes law in California is draconian, don't you?
@winterstellar Off topic for a bit: I'm interested in former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn 'The Secuder's' trial for attempted rape of a maid in a New York City posh hotel. I want to see how the American court justice system operates.
The US is such a fucked up country now, my friend is there on holiday now until October, I'm worried for him for real, I'll NEVER visit there again, it's a real shithole. It was once nice, but now like, well, Nazi Germany.
@SvalbardJanMayen1976 Should come and holiday in Australia..... I live here and I will never ever ever leave here....its so beautiful and I love our culture( or lack of) and our way of life... Google us!
only the killer is the killer.. sure, she should get a decade for planning it, but she didn't have the guts to do it herself. i'll leave my personal feeling about the extreme BS that is the morman religon and how i feel they all deserve pnishment for being mormans. in this incident alone the boyfriend is the actual murderer, not the girl
less we forget "her dark intent guides his murderous hand" meaning women don't have the stones
Prison for her is wrong. In Sweden she would automatically be turned over to the social services and serve a sentence of about 4 years at an institution for juveniles.
Who ever denies 12 .000.000 number is crazy and does not have a clue about USA prison system.
clintonearlwalker -- You served 1 year and I see you talk about USA prison system nicely. IF you served 1 year in prison I will win lottery tommorow ...
@aviomaster "2,304,115 were incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails in 2008." From Wikipedia. Thats the best number I've seen. I did a year in Supermax myself. I know a little about prisons.
@aviomaster > '.. USA has 12 million people in prison ..'
Your numbers are grossly exaggerated. The USA has roughly 2 million in prison, which is not that excessive (in my opinion) for a country with roughly 300 million people.
Fragen?
