  • This is done with pumping water with bubbles upward between two panes of glass or acrylic. Water might flow down the outside of "front" pane, but the bubbles flowing upward between them is what makes it look like it's flowing upward.

  • @MrRipper222 Instead of getting plungers taped to his feet so he can stick to the ceiling, while holding the camera the right way...

Maybe he could just turn the camera upside down on his hand?

    Hm.

  • or you know you could turn the camera right side up...

  • @mccauley100 they are reversing the video.

  • That got patched in v. 4.7_02

  • @MrRipper222 mmmm interesting...

  • upside down camera?

  • so, it could be 'fake' or.... maybe they have a pump?

  • @otters72 ehh if you look in the top right corner you see the sunroof openings and the tops of trees so I would expect that this is the real thing and it would require a strong pump to do so.

  • @KELLERMANisBACK I agree.

  • That isn't a water rise or whatever you think it is, air is rising in the form of bubbles from the bottom, water is falling, and the air + water effect makes it look like its rising.

  • It just a playing backward video.

  • Hmmm Lets see some proof that this isn't just a reversed tape????

  • I started my youtube adventure watching Prank Call Videos and now im here.

  • its a fake look at the down right edge! u see splashes!

  • Hey if you play it backwards it looks like a normal waterfall amazing!

  • FAKE ! RRW

  • This probably is real, I've seen a couple at Menards...

He even gave the location, so go check it before saying It's fake.

  • so they took a video of a waterfall and reversed it?

  • @onlyinbristow09 No, the water is under pressure, so it's moving upwards. Probably some sort of water facility.

  • @onlyinbristow09 No because you can see that the water "hits" the floor in the bottom right...and doesn't show any kin of impact at the top.....What they did is that they filmed the water fall...for 39 seconds...Now in the vid it is played backwards, but the audio is untouched...

  • @Gamekep I think it's actually a glass panel with water behind it. The panel leans back slightly, as you can see. Air bubbles are constantly injected into the water behind the panel at the bottom, and they rise up along the back of the panel - this is what you are seeing move upwards. Water is run _down_ the front of the panel to hide the glass.

  • @whtrbt I think you're retarded. it's a freakin' video in reverse.

  • its a projector

  • In soviet Russia...

  • @ChrisRussell91

    ...water drinks you.

  • Its due to majority of dumb people believing this is actually happening when its a video being played backwards that allows this phenomena to occur.

  • This is due to the water in the Southern Hemisphere being less Northern Magnetic, which creates an opposite polar field, drawing the positvely charged H2O particles towards the Ionisphere - the buills hit theory

  • uh no

  • It is a movie run backwards.

  • Phht. Here in the U.S. we have hotels that use these for urinals.

  • @fastchapter That is weird. I guess people are afraid their wee wee goes up to soon at the first moment :D

  • it's not a water fall, in fact it's not even water, it's a projector displaying a "wave" pattern on a surface and a speaker playing water sounds

  • Made in china.

  • When I was a kid this is what I used to imagine water would do in Austrialia

  • hd tv

  • played backwards?

  • @thomastune13 or just Asian engineers?

  • camera held upside down?

  • "been there, done that" -moses

  • for bats to enjoy..

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • Water wall

  • thanks now i no what a retarded water fall looks like :)

  • reverse waterfall is a fun smoking trick, gets me even more highhhhh

  • he just flipped the camera over

  • if this was a reverse waterfall then why are there splashes at the bottom??

  • I would guess its done by introducing bubbles at the bottom of the glass to make it look like the water is rising

  • See what happens when Chuck Norris roundhouse kicks a waterfall.

  • @belowmemember

    Butthurt detected, indicating successful trolling.

It would appear that you are upset. Have you taken your daily 9001mg dose of fagodine and gaydorall yet?

Shall I offer you a nice warm glass of man-juice to calm you down?

  • @hellhero28

Yes please, then I will show you all the pleasures of man love. Which being an american actor you would know all about. Yummy.

  • did you put the video in reverse like in the video i just watched :P

  • what will those asians come up with next?

  • I KNOW JAPANESE GAMESHOWS ARE CRAZY, BUT THERE VERSION OF TOTAL WIPEOUTS GONE TOO FAR!!

  • i'm not completely convinced. they could of just rewound the video

  • epic

  • looks like a screen

  • Wow this is cool

  • that is cool. thanks for the upload

  • bilectural trisiculation hydrosis

  • your camera's upside down...

  • do that to Niagara falls and i'll be impressed..

  • the camera is upside down lol

  • 57 people need to look up awesome in the updated dictionary. This video is under it.

  • This is what happens when you say you can beat Chuck Norris! THE WORLD DOESNT ALLOW IT!

  • This is not a waterfall. This is a "water rise".

  • @drav1dan it doesn't say fall it says wall

  • Maybe the hacked the law of physics...

  • loool the top rated comments just show how many people were fooled by this, the video is upside down morons!

  • @CQDBmusicrecords isnt it more likely that its a wave from the sea breaking o.O

  • @12ViperPilot nope, flip the video, you can clearly see the pavement and some bushes in the left hand corner (after you flip it)

  • @CQDBmusicrecords It's not flipped...

Go look up pictures of Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. The video is simply being played backwards...

  • @CQDBmusicrecords The video is not upside down moron! It's being played backwards.

  • It is ofcource in a plane with negative G's.

  • wow... you can play a video backwards

  • Made in Fake&Gay

  • "reverse water wall"? nah it's just "upside down camera"!

  • high speed belt traveling up, water tension vs. gravity provides the falling water traveling up effect.

  • so chill

  • Spiderman sitting upsidedown in the celing and filming it ofc! ;)

  • yee..!

  • ITS A TRAP!

  • camera is upside down or sideways

  • @nivlacker101 its called water suction

  • Juck Norris is the enginere of that :)

  • Chuck Norris was there.

  • the most wonderful ideas are always simplest

  • haha you guys, this is what they do:

the video isnt played backwards or anything its just an illusion.

the water is actually running downhill normally. bubbles are released at the bottom and rise to the top making it look like the water is running upwards.

  • @christelesio No, the video is being played backwards. Go look up other video of Roppongi Hills.

  • Roppongi Hills, video reversed, water falls absolutely normal on there.

  • And who said water cant run up hill ? lol Call the plumber !!

  • it's a video played backwards you can tell by looking at the water

  • I think th most important thing to remember here is it can't be a water "fall" if it goes up. What do you call it then?

Water climb? I think some cool names could come out of this!!lol

  • Haha, two hours ago, I was looking at "How to make a fake virus" Now I drifted to this... The lovely wonders of youtube.

  • No, this is just a video played backwards..........Duhhh

  • @Darciinz But I've seen one in real.. |:

  • @Darciinz oh you fail

  • hes holding the camera on its side.

  • 52 people are heading for their rapture bunkers.

  • it is only some blue white dots projected on that wall and that is not sound of fu**n water!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think that the filmer is holding the camera up side down :)

  • @DavidHillster then hes standing on the ceiling.

  • @jake23211 What makes you say that ?

  • screw a wave rider... grab your body board and jump on this thing :D

  • its in Japan... what else can you expect?

  • being rewinded

  • mmmhhhmmm, could you say something, like...a LOOOONG sentence? then ill beleive you :) its reversedd idiots.

  • I can reverse a video too in adobe... dumbassses

  • @imsoawesom

I'm sorri to say this but even if this video is reversed you can still make a reverse water fall

  • @LIVETHUAN

Or maybe a projector is projecting an image of a waterfall backwards and there are speakers hidden throughout.

  • Why, oh, why didn't I take the BLUE pill?

  • Noowww I see why egon said not to cross the beams!

  • ONE BADASS VACUME!!!!!!! XD

  • how do we know that u dont filming upsidedown?

  • @ThaManYeah Because having florescent lights on the ground isn't a good idea.

  • @Zxaber wel then u are playing backwards :D

  • @ThaManYeah cuz the lights are up and im guesing the tv wasnt installed on the ceiling O.o (look at the top of it)

  • They installed it in the Indian Nipple Song (also found here in youtube).

  • This is a classic optic illusion, and is made the same way you make water dropplets "fall upp" and is water flowing in the natural direction, and lighted with a very fine-tuned strobing light, to create the illusion that the water flows backwards.

It's a well known illusion, heck time warp did a piece on it. It's rather "simple" as a concept, but takes a lot of hard work to fine tune for the desired effect. (reverse flow, no flow, slow flow, and flow going back and forth.)

  • It could not be installed backwards, if anything it should be "contractor installed it upside down"

How ever, i beleive its similar to the upflowing waterfall that Disney have. Its acually very simple. There are jets at the bottom (lots of them) pointing upwards, in his case up against a wall.

  • i want to make a photoshoot there

  • Shiryu was here.

  • reverse video,stupid chinese

  • reversed video. you can tell because the peaks of the waves are facing down not up. if it were reversed we would also see the waves and water slowing as it reached the top,

  • @Coffeeeggsbacon You are wrong sir lol... IF it was going down as you suspect... then there would likely be no waves at as it would flow fairly smoothly down the smooth ramp. Also I believe the waves you see is the water "peeling back because of gravity" Now I dont know if this thing is true... But I highly doubt it is reversed video

  • @Coffeeeggsbacon Waves also peak when there is resistance or something stopping the movement... And gravity would be causing this kinda of pull also explaining your downward peak

  • Hes rewinding it so it looks like it going up the wall if not that then dont knows

  • think you uploaded this upside-down :)

  • If u turn it upside down it dosent even look like a waterfall

  • clearly projectors

  • T.T i lost my keys in that

  • I read a story about a guy who had a special room in his house with all the furniture fastened to the ceiling, and the floor made to look like the ceiling and vice versa. If anyone had too much to drink and passed out, he would lay them on the floor in this room and they would try to figure out what they were doing on the ceiling when they awoke.

  • They're screens u can see the line on the first one

  • dudes... filmed upside down.

  • @LITTLEBIGBPLANET2 rofl so hes standing on the ceiling? beside y would there be no lights on the ceiling, but lights on the floor IF it was upside down in an enclosed buildin.... AND if you make a camera go upside down... it doesnt FILM like its upside down just when you turn the camera back right side up it will be upside down .... if you deny that you sir are a retard...

  • Yes, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The stupid contractor installed it backwards.

  • Looks almost as if they were screens, or that was being projected. Because I always thought water had depth.

  • THIS IS IRON MAN'S PISS

AND THERE IS A MAGNET AT THE TOP

  • @RickTheStickman2 No its chuck norris piss

  • @RickTheStickman2 Its a video duh

  • @RickTheStickman2 hey, genius. water is repelled by magnets, not attracted, and to move water thatfast would take a magnet large enough to pull that camera to the ground, and obliterate it.

all that wall is is a pump pointing up... i am disappointed in people these days.

  • @prettypinkpixies

    no shit

  • @prettypinkpixies He did say Ironman XD it wus just a joke

  • Easy, install a powerful pump that can displace over 1000x it's own mass in water an hour and there you go! Reverse waterfall!

  • It's simply a thick glass wall with water being pushed up behind it. Not that hard to do by physical standards but I'm sure it cost a ton

  • looks like lights movin up

  • cool

  • cool a waterup

  • play the video sdrawkcab.

  • WHO TRIED TO DIVIDE BY ZERO!?!?!?!?

  • @gagriz18 Chuck Norris doesn't divide by zero, everything gets sucked into it self.

  • @gagriz18 what...?

  • @gagriz18 why would any1 do that?

  • @gagriz18 WTF OMFG THE WORLD IS ENDING!!! STUPID HEAVY!!! WHY DID YOU DIVIDE BY 0? CHUCK NORRIS WILL ROUNDHOUSE KICK YOU TILL YOU DIE!!!

  • @gagriz18 chuck norris......and he succeeded.

  • lol.. reversed audio.. errrr NO. its called the sound of water... loud high pressure water. holy crap i cant believe some people can be so ignorant of common things like water pressure and crap. what the hell do you learn in school??

  • or you fuck tards could note the "category: Film and ANIMATION

  • COLERA DO DRAGAO!

  • Its a video projection with bubble pipe in the bottom

  • listen to the sound of the video....ITS REVERSED! but this is a very possible thing...ever seen a corkscrew or loop slide at a water park? it is 110% possible! the water would have to come from a VERY high source at a FAIRLY high pressure and drain a lot lower than the floor this "water fall" would be on. it would be extremely expensive...but this video IS in fact, REVERSED!

  • the title quite clearly says REVERSE water wall ie: the video is in reverse

  • I love all these people thinking they are smart giving all these "scientific" explantions... hey "smartassess".... heres the simple explantion... rewind the video clip, retards

  • ONLY IN JAPAN

  • this fag is just playing video in reverse

  • maybe he reversed the footage so it looks like its going up

  • you reversed the video.. or ur camera is upside down

  • nothing amazin ... i just farted down there. .

  • or maybe just reverse the tape.

  • Is there a huge 'hairdryer' below? :)

  • I think that water is pumped up from behind the glass wall up and over the front surface, where it actually flows down. It appears to flow up because of the bubbles floating upward behind the glass surface.

  • this is either A) reversed video or B) some cool architecture involving a pump.

Basically you take a big pump and pump water into a relatively small space, building up pressure. The water will want to leave the space to an area of lower pressure. By making the top of the fall the only route to go, the water flows up and over.

  • @Invisifly2 pumping water into smaller spaces/smaller dia. holes won't increase the pressure, only increase the velocity(increase speed, there are some simple equations that explain that), also you can't really compress water or pressurise it, it's very difficult to say the least.

  • @EtaZuper You're incorrect about pumping water through a smaller diameter hole not increasing pressure. if you put a narrow nozzle on a water hose, the hose will become more filled with water and become rigid, which makes it harder to kink the hose. in any case where you have supply and exhaust, if you limit the exhaust then the pressure will increase internally. in vehicle exhaust it is known as backpressure.

  • Comment removed

  • @EtaZuper Why do you think it flows out at an increased rate? Because it is under pressure and must evacuate to balance out the atmospheric pressure outside of the hose. in the case of a water hose, the strength of the material has nothing to do with why it flows out. the hose doesn't change size, it fills and then there is no more room so it goes out, the rate of which is determined by how much is put in ... AKA, WATER PRESSURE.

  • @CrazyGameJunkie I didn't say it flows at an increased rate, I said it's speed increases to balance out what's put in(at the beginning flow rate is 1 and at the exit it's 1, if it flows through is smaller dia. it's speed at that single point must increase). You know that because it will go farther(momentum).
