I wish the USA had a New Romantic Movement during the 80's.

@perpetual61 - USA had new romantics everywhere. New York City to Farmville Illinois, trust me. I knew about 30 of them, and they made sure us young kids knew they were above new wave, they were new romantic lol.

@perpetual61 they had a similar thing I think they called it the club kids or something.. but the new romantincs were much glitzier... you should look it up there are videos... :)

@LLLeeeeeeeee Sorry  it just isn't the same ! Once the decade is gone you can never go back. I otta know cause i've lived it the first time. I'm 50 now and I wish I was in my 20's again. Well at least I have those wonderful memories to get me through.

@perpetual61 You never imagined it could be eclipsed, but it can and it will. In fact I think there is a renaissance in music right now, all over the world. The internet has completely changed the way we think about culture and music, now more than ever synthpop and interesting music in general is merging with new technology and styles. I asbolutely adore early 80's music from the UK, new romantics, new wave, post punk and synthpop, however there is always today and people are not going to stop.
