  • Pathetic.

  • typical under-educated southern reactionary zealot ........ no surprises there.

  • People who oppose wikileaks are complete corporate fat-cat crones that sit behind a wall of ignorance. Murdering someone who fights for an open and honest government is exactly what those asshats want. They are inhuman, anti-American, pro-establishment, right-wing, idiots. If anyone should get locked up, it is them.

  • That's how it seems to me. it's dangerous.there are calls for brutal acts on wikileaks, it encourages that attitude, leaving people willing to do such things in other walks, and that endangers all. Skip the drama. Don't prove to us how much of a patriot you are by the ridiculously drastic measures you are supposedly willing to take for your country. Leaders once confident, now must by wary. Once thought isolated, this brutality returns. And I speak for sake of our leaders. To what repayment?

  • this attitude of crossing the lines, speaking these brutish things, is driving our thinking to radical extremes. That's how it seems to me anyway. it's dangerous.

  • @Alxnde Exactly. You can't fight extremists with moderate means. You will lose. The more extreme they get, the more extreme we are going to get.

It reminds me of that famous quote, "Don't come to a gun fight with a knife."

  • This is what happens when you expose war crimes and foreign policy wrongdoing in the 21st Century: You get branded a "terrorist" by morons who don't seem to know what the word ACTUALLY MEANS. Throwing around the word "terrorist" that easily takes away all meaning. Besides, what about the folks in the Wapo or NY Times who exposed NSA wiretaps or Abu Ghraib?? By these right-wingers' standard, how are they not ALSO "terrorists"? The only diff. between them and Assange is documents.

  • If Julian Assange should be sent to Gitmo (god forbid) for EXPOSING the government on so many fronts, what do we do to the REAL lawbreakers and criminals within the gov't who did the crap that's actually detailed in the documents?! We just let them go? They get off scot-free?? COME ON...

You neocons have such misplaced priorities. Jail the messenger and scapegoat him all day long but ignore the crimes and wrongdoing of the people who are being exposed? How does that help us?

  • You guys would rather we waste time focusing on Julian Assange than what's actually in the documents. You don't wanna ADMIT that your gov't has done a damn thing wrong on foreign policy since 9/11. Oh, sure you can bitch about "what clinton did to undermine our security", but as soon as the topic of Bush or Iraq and Afghanistan come up, it's the silent treatment. Shame on you, neocons.

Iraq and Afghanistan are just as worthless, if not more so, than Vietnam was! Fuck these wars

  • We have over 100,000 troops in Afghanistan to fight a mere 100 or 150 al Qaeda! How does that make sense? That's about 1,000 troops to find one guy. Yeah... it takes 1,000 soldiers to find and kill or capture 1 terrorist... Get real. This is a waste of time. None of the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 are ALIVE. They DIED in the planes, DUH! Who are we going after? A bunch of far-right Taliban Islamists who wanna rule their country but don't give a fuck about attacking ours?

  • 92% of Afghans, at least in the southern portion, don't even know 9/11 happened! And the few that do are probably a few terrorists and Taliban here and there, not a big fuckin deal. Besides, how much would those alleged terrorists and Taliban in Afghanistan be a threat to us today HAD WE NOT GONE IN IN THE FIRST PLACE?? That's a good question to ask.

And no one talks about how OUR FOREIGN POLICY puts us in jeopardy by only further radicalizing these crazy Islamists!

  • It's not that "they hate us for our freedom" or any of that other bs. No one before Bush and Giuliani after 9/11 gave us that as a reason for Islamists wanting to kill us. Michael Scheuer and dozens of other REAL experts who've actually gone after bin Laden or who've talked to him in person know the truth. Yeah... they hate us for our freedom. good one. They're SOO jealous of us being free and prosperous that they'd fly planes into buildings. terrorists don't think like that.

  • For terrorists, it's about OCCUPATION. They believe that a foreign policy is illegitimately occupying THEIR land or is treating them like shit, and they'e had enough. Now, I'm not justifying any terrorist attacks, but you have to understand the MINDSET of your enemy before you can a) reach out to moderates and those on the fence and get them on your side and b) fight them properly.

Infinite war won't work. It'll only create more terrorism and radicalism.

  • err, foreign power*

    my bad

  • For every terrorist we supposedly kill or capture in Afghanistan and Iraq, just imagine how many MORE are created because of our continuing foreign policy. It's absurd. If we ever wanna "end" this so-called War on Terror by minimizing the threat from radical Islam, we NEED to pull out of their countries and STOP BOMBING THEM! That is priority number 1. Then we can focus more on threats here at home instead of these silly foreign distractions.

  • And last but not least, it may not be a CRIME for Saudi Arabia to say, "Hey, Americans, how about you get tough on Iran? We're afraid of them getting the bomb", but it sure as hell is pretty revealing no? Revealing that we're trying to prevent Iran from getting the bomb for ANOTHER COUNTRY'S sake, esp. Saudi Arabia. Fuck em! Let Saudi Arabia's gov't handle its own shit. They got oil and tons of revenue, don't they? They could easily afford a fairly large military to combat Iran's possible nukes

  • I'm not gonna go to war in Iran for Saudi Arabia. fuck that. The saudi monarchs can kiss my ass.

  • Maybe the people who committed the crimes or wrongdoing or just plain BS outlined in the documents should THINK TWICE BFEORE DOING THAT AGAIN?? Maybe this'll be a wakeup call that they can't just get away with doing whatever they want? That actions have consequences? THAT should be the lesson here. I'm sorry that Hilary has to be a little more careful in her words and how she uses diplomats and shit, but tough shit, Secretary. What goes around comes around.

  • Each Wiki release is a gamechanger, just like each new BEATLES album.

DEAL WITH IT, in the 60s, the motto was "tune-in/turn-on/drop out. Today, the new motto of American youth will be:

YOU CAN MAKE IT END, JUST PRESS SEND.

    Here's another idea:

same song , ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE,

CHANGE ONE WORD, ALL YOU NEED IS SEND

  • what a cunt

  • how about...you just tell everyone the truth?

then you won't have to worry about secret networks to say what your real intentions are

  • A attack on this country occurred on November 4,2008.For those of you who do not like Steven Gill then don y listen to him or talkaradio then. The only corrupt slime are in the oval office and the current dicks withinn

  • No attack on our country, maybe the corrupt slime running our country and their sick supporters - like Steven Gill, but not the country. What a sick son-of-a-bitch. The end is niegh and I for one can't wait, because dicks like this will have no protection, one life not worth worring about losing.

  • Should Steven Gill be charged with threats to commit a crime? Murder is a crime, no?

  • bullshit
