On an August day in the Finger Lake region of New York, a solitary Great Blue Heron landed on my neighbor's property to partake of a pond's offerings. Later, a loud noise, reminiscent of a crashing car was heard. My wife called to me "COME HERE NOW," and I ran to investigate. Quickly grabbing three sticks from the ground, I freed the bird and carried it to safety. Note the large cat attempting to chase down the bird, which caused me to shout loudly enough to convince the cat to run away.
That was so heartwarming! Thanks for sharing that awesome rescue!!

Thank you, I'd like to believe that the bird survives to this day.
