@scottfree6 You can't apply the Lydian mode in this song. Modes are all about the chords playing in the background. Go check some explanations about modes by Wallimann and Dave Weiner on youtube. They'll explain you how modes work. All he's using is E minor pentatonic with some Dorian and Aeolian stuff. Those modes can be applied because it's just a regular minor based riff. So you can't use Lydian because it needs to be a major type of sound to be lydian.

There's no button, he's hitting the trem, its not a floater, it's just sitting up a little off the body of the guitar, the spring tension isn't keeping it down hard, but it's not being pulled to hard from the strings either to where the intonation is off, or the action of the strings.
